I have used these elastic rubber guards to protect my Ethernet cabling on the floor at home. They work like a charm and are easy to maneuver. Hiding the cables is a cinch, as they bore a wide protrusion at their bottom. They are very affordable, and I would recommend anyone get this when they need to add cables to the floor.

Will use to cover hose across my sidewalk come spring. I tested it & the hose fits & lays down flat.

This cord cover is very well built and works great. I pondered on how to cut it, then spied the chop saw!

Even though it came rolled up, it flatten out and was useable right away. It was easy to install -- 5 minutes tops. We have hard wood floors, no carpet or rug at the moment and a TV antenna across the room from the TV. The cable is the same color as the floor and shifted around a bit. The cable cover makes the cable visible and adds a bit of interest to the floor (we had a bit left over so, could add a bit of a curve to it). However, it is fairly light and narrow enough that you can trip on it, if you're not careful.

I saw other review with similar product and they all said it slides or not sturdy but this one stayed in place. I need to charge my car and I live in an apartment so this is very useful and courteous to my neighbors. (I live in Illinois and we have a right to charge law so see state laws before trying this in an apartment.)

Every house I ever have lived at always has the front porch outlet on the wrong side for Christmas lights or inflatable holiday things.I have to run an extension cord across the porch and I worry delivery men will trip or my elderly mom will trip. This kept the porch neat, made it obvious a hazard was there, and reduced the actual hazard. It is heavy enough to hold the cord still and not move around. The extension cord went in easily and came out easily too. It is heavy enough to keep itself and the cord where you leave it. I had it pushed full to the threshold on the ground across my 6 foot doorway. Not sure how well it would work out in the open or across a sidewalk.

Let me addressed the only issue: it sticks out like a sore thumb.I looked at all the options which would blend in and they were lighter weight and required adhesive. I did not want to use adhesive on our beautiful hardwood floor.I wanted to keep people safe and not trip over the cord. That was my objective. So sticking out like a sore thumb is a plus in my book and my wife’s.It is heavy and stays in place it is easy to cut with a sharp box cutter. And people see it and can avoid tripping. The cord or cords are easy to keep in their place tucked into slots inside the cover. If you’re going to complain about the bright yellow strip on the product- DON’T buy it.

A very affordable solution to a persistent problem in the shop. The cover sits flat and offers high visibility that a hazard is in front of you. It seems to be very well made and heavy duty, but only time will tell for sure.
