So I bought this fully intending to use it mostly for when I travel, but when I pulled it out of the box I was absolutely mind blown at the quality and feel. It’s very light; the body is small but not so small that it’s hard to play. The cut outs in the body are placed well and allow for easy playing while at a desk. It plays amazing and the pickups are actually pretty good. I was thinking about swapping them out for some DiMarzios but these are good enough that I haven’t bothered to look into that a whole lot. I use amp sims almost exclusively though so I cannot speak for regular amp performance. The bone nut is a really cool feature for such an inexpensive guitar, and the frets are polished well and are smooth. The out of the box set up was pretty good and there doesn’t appear to be any dead notes. Making adjustments is easy, and I absolutely love the wheel at the bottom of the neck for adjusting the truss rod. Way better than having to jam a wrench in between the strings on the headstock.Hugely impressed with this guitar! I was initially a little skeptical but it very quickly became a favorite to pick up. If you are interested in a headless and don’t have Strandberg money, this is 100% a killer option. I’d love to see a 7 string in the future, I absolutely would not hesitate. The finish is very cool and unique, but seeing some standard finishes would also be a lot of fun.My only gripe is that the bridge sits up higher than what I’m used to, so palm muting and chugging took a little getting used to. I’d also love to see a gig bag made available, I had to find one on eBay that would fit it. These notes are not enough for me to give any less than 5 stars though!

I bought this on a whim. I have Suhr, Gibson, PRS, etc guitars so I really don't need any more instruments. I just enjoy working on guitar related stuff so I'll occasionally buy a "project" to mess around with crowning / leveling frets or electronics. I ordered this figuring that I would need to really put some time and effort into this to make it playable. Plus I don't have a headless guitar so there's that. But so far this guitar needs nothing. Seriously. I'm sincerely impressed with this instrument!Construction:The wood is nicely finished and smooth. The clear coating is well done and the grain of the wood is actually attractive. All of the joints are tight, the controls are smooth, the pickup switch is nicely detented, and all of the screws are firmly fastened. At this price occasionally that's not the norm at all.Fretwork:The fretwork isn't PERFECT . . . but it's WAY better than what you'd get on a $500 Squier. It call it easily the match or better than a production Ibanez though.Pickups and electronics:The pickups are Eart's house brand (I guess) but I don't think that I'll be replacing them. They sound great - a nice chimey neck pickup and a mid-focused but shimmery bridge tone. The middle position sounds great as well. They aren't Seymour Duncans or Suhr pickups but they sound as good as the pickups in my PRS SEs. Amazing value and tone for the price! The electronics are very well soldered - heck they even use full size pots!Setup and hardware:The hardware is decent. The headstock end of the string holders is sleek and simple - the bridge is the only slight con of this guitar for me. The bridge holds tune well but the tuners are stiff and very temperamental - it takes very little turning to over/under tune the note you were aiming for. You just have to be very careful as you turn them. The setup and action out of the box were pretty much spot on - I might lower it a bit after it acclimatizes to my home but frankly I'm amazed. The setup is FAR better than the out of the box setup on any guitar that I've bought for less than $1000. Who ever worked on this one was a great setup person considering that it came all of the way from China and *still* had decent action and prefect intonation.I don't usually write reviews but this guitar and the attention to detail that went into it deserve it. Absolutely amazing quality for the money - I will be buying more of these for other experiments. I'd love to have one with P90s!Folks at Eart - you need to develop a fanned fret seven string version as well. If you do please let me know - I'd love to help you with product testing on that. You all know how to build a guitar!

I've played high end Fenders, Gibsons, and Ibanez guitars. This thing is really well build. Right out of the box it looks stunning. I love that they went with more of a stain finish than gloss. The neck is smooth. It isnt a modern C. It's more flat. I'd say closer to a D shape. A cross between an Music Man and a Wizard III neck. It's very comfortable. It has the belly cut an the arm cut for comfort. I have no clue what the wood is besides the Indian rosewood fretboard and the Poplar top, but its hefty and feels good. You can feel the holes in the poar top as well as the grain of the wood on the back. The 5 piece neck is super nice. The stainless steel frets are probably pre cut, but there is no issue with that. The bridge is a generic bridge you can get from amazon (I got the non term version). The pick ups are good, but not amazing. Worth changing if you have the money for better ones. The volume on mine works fine, but the tone is either all the way on or all the way off.I'm having a blast playing this. I even set aside my player plus strat and my JP150. This guitar is incredible.I know this short review wont sell you on it, you have to try it for yourself. The price is more than reasonable and it plays extremely well. Give it a shot. You wont regret it.

I was in the market for a headless guitar, and I saw some reviews on Youtube for this one. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.I have several other guitars ranging from dirt cheap (~$300) to high end (~$2000), and this Eart guitar competes pretty well with the high end.I primarily play metal, so my opinion will be coloured by that. Some positives- The neck is great. It's thick and reminds me of the old budget Schecter 6 string's. No major rough spots, and plays fast. with great access.- The fretwork is perfect. No sharp ends, no lifting, exceptionally level. I was able to set the action lower than any of my other guitars (no fretting out, no buzz).- the body shape is very comfortable (I play in a classical position when sitting down)Some issues- The tuners are stiff, no getting around that. You can make adjustments with your fingers, but the crank is a real finger saver. They hold tension very well though, so you can largely set it and forget it.- The pickups are very warm. I use a parametric pre-EQ with a -3dB low shelf set around 1kHz to try and reduce the mud. for the neck pickup, there are noticeable frequency humps around 110-280hzm which I also cut pretty drastically.- Because the action can get so low, the strings sit recessed in the bridge. This can make palm muting more challenging. My hand is a bit larger than average, so when I want to do very tight palm mutes, I end up picking over the neck pickup, which also means I need to lift my hand and move it up over the bridge to hit pinch harmonics.- The recessed input jack area could use a little more paint, as coverage was sparse.- Setup out of the box wasn't great. Neck had some back bow and intonation was fairly sharp for 5 out of 6 strings. Action was much higher than necessary. It took me about 20 min to fix these issues.Definitely well worth the price. I've already started recommending this guitar to family and friends. If you're purchasing this guitar when it's very cold or very hot out, be sure to leave the guitar in its box for at least a few hours (preferably more) to acclimate to your home. Fast temperature and humidity changes can damage instruments.

Amazing guitar and astounding value for money. Clearly a lot of time was spent in the stainless steel frets. They are perfectly level crowned and polished with rounded fret end. The AlNiCo V humbuckers sound amazing. If all guitars from China played and sounded as well as this EART GW2 I would have no need to buy a guitar from anywhere else. The guitar is perfect and arrived that way, nothing need be done to make it plate or sound great. I have had USA made guitars delivered that weren’t as well set up as this Chinese guitar. Don’t get me wrong, MOST Chinese guitars are crap and need a lot work and upgrades to be decent, not his EART. I got it out of a box and gigged it that night. No issues. This feels like a $1500 guitar. The intonation is spot on and the bridge/tuning system is great and easy to use. I love this guitar so much I am buying another just so I have a back up should this one be stolen. My ONLY complaint is it doesn’t come with a gig bag. To buy the gig bag from EART costs $60 but also costs another $80 for shipping from China. I wish they would include the gig bag and just charge $60 more.Anyway, thank you EART!

Bis dahin also alles gut.
