The product is environmentally friendly, lights up quickly, burns for at least 2 hours or more and makes for a nice hot fire. I combine with wood but has saved me on wood. I highly recommend it.

These are a little smaller than you’d expect as they’re not very long but they get the job done. They’re pretty easy to light too. the box says to unwrap two logs, twist the wrappers and place the logs in an X shape on top of the wrappers. Then you light the ends of the paper as well as the logs. If you want a really big and hot fire, it helps to break up the logs some after the fire catches but also your fire won’t last as long as leaving it whole. The logs do give off some smoke but it’s not too overwhelming and doesn’t have a strong smell. Not sure if these say anything against roasting marshmallows with these logs but we did just fine.

These are long lasting and easy to clean, I usually put two or three firewood across the top and it lasts at least 4-6 hours with a slow burn. The fire looks natural and doesn’t take away from the real firewood look. They are light weight and you just light the two bottom corners and the rest is automatic.

I've purchased 4-5 cases of the 3 hour Enviro-logs at this point, so given all the negative reviews, thought I would try inject some objective observations for future purchasers. We light these in our fireplace for atmosphere, we aren't trying to heat our house with them.Pros: - They are significantly cheaper than almost all similar alternatives ! - A single log will burn for 3 hoursNeutral: - They do leave slightly more burn residue (aka ash) than competitor brands. However, we sweep it up with a dust pan and put it in our house trash regardless of the brand, so no real difference from our perspective. - (See picture someone uploaded where the bag burned off without fully igniting the log). They may require additional material to initiate burn (e.g., a couple of fist-sized crumples of paper, or, I use one side of the cardboard box they come in folded a few time. underneath the log before I light it. Never had a problem getting whole log to fully ignite.( I have not encountered this issue with Duraflame logs - fwiw, but I do not consider it a "problem", either. )Cons: - If you light both ends, they have a tendency to burn on the ends and only fully ignite over time. Since this results in a less impressive fire, than say the Duraflames logs, this could be considered a negative. did I mention they are cheaper than the alternatives? - Generally you do not get as much "fire" out of these as comparable brands. - The logs are shorter than the standard.

I discovered these logs at Lowe's but can't find them anymore so ordered from Amazon. They are much smaller than the ones I found at Lowe's. I open the package and break them up into pieces and use them more as fire starters instead of burning the entire log. I love the fresh smell.

You DO get a good enough fire if you follow directions ...take the wrapping OFF first, and crumple it under TWO logs ....and I'm thinking it IS environmentally cleaner. But it sure makes a heap of ash, and when you unwrap all the particles want to come loose. I'll try it a couple more times and see if I can get used to it some.
