Not only is this instrument the perfect size for littles, it also sounds beautiful and isn't very loud. And it comes with "sheet music" using the numbers on the steel drum! So fun, so pretty. Can't recommend enough. Wish I could give it 6 stars. ✨

Although I have other drums, I love this little drum because I can carry it with me or play it while I'm doing other things like watching TV. Although it only has six notes which limits its ability, the sound is nice and the size is perfect in my hand. What a fun way to make a little music!

This little thing is surprisingly loud, and even louder when you take the little plug out of the bottom. It has a really pleasant and bright sound and it's fun to play with. You can pretty much hit anything and it will sound like you're playing a song.

This little drum had the clearest tones of 3 different little drums (all key of C) that I bought - including one that was supposedly a "rain" drum. It was so good that now I want to purchase a larger one from Eastrock.

This small steel tongue drum is a fine introduction to percussion -- and music as a whole -- for a young person. The drum is well-made with no sharp surfaces. The tiny mallet included is enough to make the drum resonate with clear tones and volume. I haven't compared its notes to those of a tuner, but who would use this small drum to accompany other instruments? It stands alone as a basic musical instrument and could encourage users to upgrade to larger and more professional ones.Unlike higher-priced steel drums this one does not include any instructions or a music book (as stated on the Amazon product page) or, for that matter, any information on the manufacturer or seller. For the clarity of the sound I give it four stars, but would give it only 3.5 stars if that were an option.

I carry this in my purse and bring out at doctor visits for my toddler. It is soothing and distracting for my little one, and you can play it oh-so gently for a soft sound, or really get after it for fun dance-offs with the kiddos!
