Perfect for my 6th grade beginner percussionist. The case seems sturdy and the price is right for me to feel comfortable with them taking it to school to practice. Very clear and True tones. Might do better with different mallets

Makes great music, multiple octaves, great for learners (as long as you store the instrument between sessions), the plastic mallets are a little bit not as sturdy as they could be - but I followed a recommendation here to get new mallets and those were worse. So the plastic mallets are the way to go, I just wish they made the mallet stick a bit thicker and less bend-prone. Fantastic excellent purchase, and the pink color is kind of fun - reminds you to pull it out and practice more. Easy to store, although the latch to open/close it takes a bit of memory on how to open it. Love the music made from it.

I teach a music class and use these as take home bellsets for students to check out. They're reasonable for the price, although the mallets are overly flexible. I substitute rubber head resonator bar mallets instead. While they're not the best glockenspiels on the market, sometimes it's better to have 10 $25 sets vs 1 $250 one. I will likely be buying more of these in the future.

I purchased this xylophone to play at Preschool circle time. I can play by ear, and worked out the tunes to “open, shut them,†the alphabet song, and twinkle twinkle fairly quickly. I don’t let the students bang on this, as the school is open concept, and there are no walls between the different class areas. During Covid, I had purchased some squeaky dog balls so the students could play squeaky soccer. This made me instantly unpopular with the other teachers. I don’t want a repeat. The xylophone plays on key, sounds lovely, and has survived a month and half in my classes, which says a lot. Give this beaut a try- you won’t be disappointed!

It's a very nice glockenspiel, but it shouldn't be called a xylophone. "xylo-" means "wood". But aside from that nitpicky critique, it's a great little instrument and a lot of fun. Just have to practice hitting the sweet spot in the center of each metal bar and not the big knobs holding them in place at each end. It comes with two hard-plastic mallets, the stem of which was bent on one of them when I initially unboxed it. But it's a toy, so expectations should not be too high.

I like that it's very portable in its case. Of course it'll take practice, but I have a nice time attempting to play fun songs. I am pleased that it has sharps and flats, unlike other instruments I have recently acquired.

I don’t think I realized that the xylophone was connected to the box. I thought it was stand alone, so I didn’t really like that, but it was on sale and I clearly didn’t read the description so that’s on me. We have fun with it but later on I’d probably look for another one.

Bought 3 as gifts. One has one note that was sunken but was still in tune. All notes are in tune. Loud. Would recommend getting separate rubber mallets. Comes with plastic mallets and they are ear piercing. Great item overall.

Muy buen producto solo que lo malo es que pronto se le caen las piezas que unen la tapa, una especie de fierro largo se caen con facilidad, creo necesario modificar esas piezas para que no se caigan fácilmente. Todo el resto muy bien.
