Purchased the Green Tones Stirring Xylophone as a gift for my 1 year old. Although he doesn't 'stir' it, yet. He does enjoy it and tries to stir.My 5 year old enjoys stirring it for his baby brother, to produce a beautiful sound significantly different than the other musical instruments in their collections. Even I like the sound of this one and found myself stirring the xylophone for my baby often throughout the day (at his request).

Nice. Cute toy. Sound is pretty good when you roll striking stick around the inside of instrument. Kids will enjoy this.

It was slightly broken when it arrived, and only got more broken. We have friends who love theirs, so it gets a higher rating than something that showed up broken would normally get. By the time we realized the issue we had too much going on to get around to returning/exchanging it.

Just OK tone and very very small. Granted, I bought this item for $14.99 for my office secret santa gift which has a $15 max. My secret santa draw this year? You know it: my damn boss. Two things about my boss: he has a status meeting once a week and always moves it because he has a kid and he's always late (are these two facts related? You decide!). Anyway I thought on the one hand he could use the mighty tones of the stirring xylophone to rally all five of us to status up in his office once per week. Sounds like a great plan, but as of right now - ten minutes after status - I can tell you this: I myself was late for status (it was re-skedged like six times so I took a long lunch and forgot about it), and when I go to the meeting, the xylophone was sitting on his desk, full of pencils. So, as a xylophone, two stars, as a pencil cup: Five Stars all the way!

This is very well made. It is very easy for young children to use. Great toy for exploring the world of music.

This toy is a huge disappointment. It sounds like garbage, this is exacerbated by the fact that they included a wooden mallet. I happened to have a rubber mallet from another toy; that made it sound a little better. The tines have almost no discernible pitch. I don't know what else to say. It looks nice. That is about it.
