I am in love with this wonderful popcorn maker. No more messy greasy pan, and the popcorn is delicious. It’s made of strong borosilicate glass (like chemistry class bottles). There was another similar option to consider with a red plastic handle and bottom cover. I chose this one because I think it will last longer. Both parts clean very easily. I use yellow corn kernels. Be careful when removing the silicone lid after popping because there will be a lot of hot steam. After placing popped in corn in bowl I add one of a variety of my favorite oils which I buy here on Amazon. Each has its own distinct flavor ... pistachio, walnut, avocado, or olive oil from La Tourangelle Artisan Oils. I then grind a tiny bit of salt and lots of black or multicolored peppercorns over the popcorn and mix it well. I can’t tell you how delicious this is. The oils are light and healthier than butter. You can also buy a very fine sugar and sprinkle it over buttered popcorn if you want a sweet taste. At this point I actually prefer the oils over butter. I think those that are experiencing issues may just need to experiment with amount of corn and temperature on their microwave. Also, an important consideration is that your kernels of corn are fresh. Stale kernels do not pop well. Buy one. It’s fun, easy and cute! 🍿❤️

This popper is really convenient. I have a 1200 watt microwave with turntable. First, I added the recommended amount of fresh popcorn seeds, placed the popper at the outer edge of the turntable with the handle at the center. About 2/3 of the seeds popped in 2 1/2 minutes. I tried a longer microwave time but the popcorn starts to burn. Then I put in twice the seeds recommended and the popper was about 75% full in 2 1/2 minutes. There were a lot of un-popped seeds. Now I set the microwave to 2 minutes 35 seconds and after 2 minutes 15 seconds of popping I open the microwave door, deposit about a tablespoon of room temperature butter in the popper lid, close the door, and hit the start button doing this as quickly as I can. The popcorn continues to pop and the butter completely melts down into it in the remaining 20 seconds. I then take the handle of the popper with my bare hand as it is only slightly warm and over the kitchen sink I gently shake the popper HORIZONTALLY (so the lid won't fly off) to mix the butter evenly. I remove the lid and add salt before pouring the popcorn into another container for easy munching. To separate the un-popped seeds I pour the popcorn into a strainer bowl and shake it allowing the seeds to fall through. Most of the seeds fall through but some are slightly too big. I'm going to enlarge the holes with a hollow punch. For larger gatherings I have a Great Northern Popcorn Popper (Stainless Steel / Stovetop ) which leaves almost no seeds un-popped (The same popcorn as above.) and is available here on Amazon.com.

I absolutely love this popcorn maker. I had bought one from a boutique store about 3 years ago because I wanted an easier method than a kettle on the stove, and I don't want to be eating bag microwaveable popcorn. Unfortunately, I shattered my last one on our granite counter top while cleaning it (undermount sink+granite edge=me holding a glass handle to nothing and glass all over). Anyway, this is pretty fragile, yes, the glass is thin, but it works great. I have a 1000watt microwave, and I make a one and a half batch, cooked for 3 minutes 15 seconds. I put a tablespoon of butter in the top, and I have no issues with soggy popcorn, and almost all kernels pop. The glass needs to be completely cool, and no water anywhere for everything to work properly. I'm not one of those people who needs a heavy coating of butter on my popcorn, so the tablespoon melted during cooking makes it perfect for me. If you use more than that, I'm not sure if you will have the same results. I have no issues with anything burning, and I do use 100% real butter, none of that vegetable oil based stuff.

Bought this for my wife as a Christmas gift, and we haven’t bought microwave popcorn since. Very easy to use, 4 stars only because it can be kinda tricky to get most of the kernels to pop without burning

Honestly my preferred way to make popcorn is on the stovetop. But as my mom eats popcorn almost every night this is a lot more convenient. Put the popcorn in, add some butter to the lid and put it in the microwave. Doesn’t take long, and it’s better and healthier than the microwave popcorn bags.Cleanup is easy; throw it in the dishwasher or wash by hand, top is wide enough that it is easy to get you hand in there to wash.Good product!

I loved this product for the 5 days I had it. It was really cool and worked well, often there were some kernels left unpopped but it didn’t bother me. It is ridiculously fragile though. I was very careful too, treated it very delicately. Always let it cool down COMPLETELY before attempting to clean it. When I cleaned it I was careful too. Tonight after I cleaned it I noticed a BIG crack. This was not there when I bought it and I inspected it very closely, and when I cleaned it I was so careful so I have no idea how this happened. I used it 5 times and then it cracked some how. So I am very disappointed and will have to find a different product that is less delicate.

what a great purchase. The popcorn is so much better than in hot air pop. It no longer has that cardboard taste but more airy...if that makes sense. Also clean up is great. I put the glass in the dishwasher and it comes out sparkling clean. I just wash the plastic stopper by hand as I think it will last longer this way. It's also a great gift for someone that is into popcorn (and has everything).

This is our third one of these in 3 years, we keep breaking the glass because its so thin. We seem to set it in our sink and if it hits anything else in the sink it cracks or breaks easy. With that being said, we keep buying it because its the best popcorn we've had.
