Very lightweight, love this jacket ! Good for 50°+...maybe into the mid 40's if you were active while wearing it ? Great alternative to a hoodie.. I'm 6'2 & 210 lb got an extra large fits perfect. Very super comfortable, I like the fit a lot and quality is good. Definitely great packable, will take up virtually no room. I was on the fence for a while on this jacket after reading the reviews, I'm definitely glad I gave it a shot and got it, I would buy again. good replacement for hoodie, if you're looking for a down jacket to keep you warm in colder weather, I would skip it.

I got this on an Amazon Special. It is a great jacket for the price. Can be squeezed down to a very small shape for packing in a suitcase and is very warm while being very light. I brought it on a cruise to Iceland and Scotland with no regrets! Well-made with good pockets and hood, too.

The Eddie Bauer jacket itself is very light, yet warm. A great go-to jacket for any type of weather. The quality of this jacket is well made, and offers a stylish look. Great jacket!The frustrating part:I’ve ordered this jacket a total of three times. Once I was sent the wrong color, the next order was wrong size and gender(?} So I returned both of these jackets. When the 3rd and final order was received, it was the wrong size; however, I’m very tired of returning the jackets, so I’m settling, and hope I’m refunded for these 2 items in a timely manner.

I have an older puffer jacket in a bag, which I use for travel in LATAM. I wanted something for just a bit cooler environment, this jacket fits the bill. I debated on the hood vs not, ultimately chose no hood, but I think it would be a solid choice if I spent more time in the Midwest. Solid winds in Atlanta with temps in the 30's-40's, this jacket was toasty, kept wind out completely. Collar goes a little taller than I thought I wanted, but with the breeze it locks out the wind. It does not have a pull cord to secure the bottom, but because it's a longer fit, I didn't find any breeze blowing up my back. Not sure about rain resistance, but will see, solid choice thus far.

I have bought eddie bauer stuff off and on for years, and noticed that this coat was about half the price of other brands with similar reputations. Rathe than give one of the new erzatz brands from china a try, so I decided to go with this one.It's a nice functional light down coat.Quite wind proof and comfortable. Everything works, and it fits me very well. My only complaint is that it lacks a draw string along the bottom.I walk about a mile to work more or less every day of the year, and the coat is my new "go to" coat for the 25-35 degree days. With a wind breaker on top, it should be warm to the mid teens.

Needed to replace a very worn out Eddie Bauer packable down jacket that had torn, for my husband. Unfortunately, we ended up returning it due to the lack of the down fill in it. Unlike the photo that shows it “puffy†each of the quilted chambers were flat . We tried reviving it in the dryer but it didn’t help. It’s a shame because it is a very nice jacket. It is made very well, generously sized and the material is soft.

Very nice coat for the price. Needed coat for last minute trip to colder area of the country! Very warm of the weight and was able to make compact to pack into my compartment of my backpack so not to take up room in my carry on bag!
