Good size, easy to clean, sturdy! Everything I ever needed/wanted in an Egg slicer! Be gentle or you'll have mashed egg. That's not a gig on the slicer...some eggs are more 'tender' than others. Don't just mash down on them & then get mad because you got a mashed egg! Use a little common sense, be gentle & patient, and you will get beautiful sliced eggs most of the time.These are a bit thicker wires than the egg slicer of my childhood, but still adequate for the job. This is all around more beefy than that delicate dispenser of salad beautification! But alas, it has been lost somewhere in a move, amongst kitchen clutter boxes, or put in a "safe place" where it wouldn't get broken...and hasn't been seen since.Remembering those salads fondly, and craving summer greens, I began looking for a slicer, instead of mangled fails from using knives...they just aren't up to it!This looked like a good candidate, & has performed very well.Very stable and sturdy. Very easy to clean. Cuts easily & precisely. Easy to use. Pretty straightforward. If you need an instruction manual, you shouldn't be slicing eggs by yourself (it's not neurosurgery)! ;)Would buy again if necessary...but let's hope I don't need to.

Love this egg slicer! I've purchased others that are plastic and had no idea there was a metal version; this slicer is the real deal!While slicing eggs is not a difficult task and doesn't require brut strength, I found he plastic egg slicers would come apart after a period of time. The quality of construction on this egg slicer is solid!Recommend this product; it may be a few more dollars however worth it as you'll spend more with cheap plastic egg slicers than investing in a quality product.

This is a very sturdy item. Its frame is made from a die cast metal (unlike the plastic one I had, which broke soon after it first being used). The base is shaped so that the egg can be placed both laterally and longitudinally; optimal for dicing for egg salad. Even the handle is ergonomically designed. A good tool, and I’m glad I got one. It has only one issue preventing a five star rating. It has no rubber feet, which makes it a bit slippery when used on a smooth surface. If that is no problem for you, I definitely suggest you get one.

This is a real time-saver for slicing boiled eggs, mushrooms and strawberries, and you get uniform slices that look nice. Eggs slice easily, but strawberries and mushrooms require a little more finesse. Too big and/or too ripe/not firm enough - the cutter tends to smash the item rather than slicing it. Otherwise, no problem; a quick stroke seems to work best. It's easy to clean, doesn't take up very much room, and the stainless steel wires seem durable. A great little tool to have in your kitchen.

I found thisbto be perfect size. It is very sturdy. Slices through eggs quite simply. I can see this will last. Heavy weight. Eggs do not stick but slice through and come off easy.
