Your cart is empty.Our ceiling medallion collections are modeled after original historical patterns and designs. Our artisans then hand carve an original piece. Being hand carved each piece is richly detailed with deep relief, sharp lines, and a truly unique touch. That master piece is then used to create a mold master. Once the mold master is created we use our high density urethane foam to form each medallion. The finished look is a beautifully detailed, light weight, solid construction, focal piece. The resemblance to original plaster medallions is achieved only by using our high density urethane and not vacuum formed, "plastic" type medallions. Medallions can be cut using standard woodworking tools to add a hole for electrical or a ceiling fan canopy. Medallions are light weight for easy installation. I wasn’t sure how to install. I ended up putting a few screws through to the ceiling then painting over those and caulking around the edges for a cohesive look. There’s probably a smarter but it worked for me :). I painted it bright white. It looks antique to me, yet modern. I love it!

Just a couple days before having a new pendant installed to replace our old chandelier, it occurred to us to consider a ceiling medallion. What a great decision! As I did more research I discovered the 7" canopy of our new pendant would be too wide for many medallions, which limited our choices, but made it easy to choose this beautiful one from among the few that were an appropriate width in relation to our room and pendant. My husband painted the medallion, which is definitely necessary, and a 2-person electrician/handyman team easily installed it prior to installing our new pendant. I read good advice on a few blogs about making final adjustments to center it perfectly (since it's initially held in place with just putty) prior to mounting the light and adding a few finishing nails. Unfortunately our installers didn't do this so it's slightly off center from one angle, but it's close enough to perfect that I doubt anyone else will notice.We now want to add medallions to all of our ceiling fixtures! We even talked about adding an overhead light in a room just to justify a beautiful medallion.

This is a beautiful medallion! Not made of plastic like others. Looks like an expensive accent! Matches the texture of the ceiling perfectly and no imperfections in the design. I love looking at my ceiling now! Worked great for me!

This arrived with a little dent (some form of styrofoam) which we tried to fill. That did not work well and the fill was too obvious once painted. So lived with the dent, which fortunately you cannot see once it was on the ceiling. The large size looks great with our chandelier and was easy to install.

Item came exactly as pictured, it is light weight and sat so flush with my ceiling that we didn't have to use anything to mount it and the light fixture alone was enough to hold it in place. I hand painted it to give it an oil rubbed bronze look to match my chandelier and it makes quite the statement. Highly reccomend!
