We took down an old fixture, and it left sheet rock damage. So we used this medallion to cover the damage up, and hung a new fixture. It turned out great!

Finally I got the correct size for my ceiling fan. I had to purchase the largest opening of their many sizes. The other openings were very small even though it looked big on website. I really didn’t know how to measure it being round and all, so I was as eyeballing it and guessing it along the way. It has a clean cut too, and I purchased a returned item for a discount. Just like new. It’s nice but I think it could be a bit larger than it is, more wood design for that very large opening. I love the square shape of it too. A nice change from the traditional circle ceiling mediallons out there. It matches my wall panels on my living room and dining room walls.I used Loctite heavy duty Power Grab glue. I have been using their products for my 3D wall panels around my home. Trust me when I say, “It’s NOT coming down and you WONT be using any thing else with it either to keep it up.Also, I like that it is real wood and not the styrofoam like some of the other companies are using out there.

Quality seems okay. There were a few minor dings that needed to be fixed with filler and touched up with paint, but not a deal breaker. It is a bit heavy, so it must be secured with adhesive (i.e. liquid nails) and sink screws onto wood rafters. Caulking the edges with the ceiling gives it a nice, finished look.

I really like these medallions. They have a transitional feel without looking stuffy. I needed this to move a light a bit over and these covered the hole without doing any patch work. I didn't paint the first one but did the second one. I definitely think it needs a little paint to make it look finished. They are heavy and it took two men to put them up. Would definitely recommend.

...the two sides don't match up very accurately. I like the style, and I haven't found another with the right inside diameter, so I'll figure it out. But it's disappointing.

I disliked that this product came entirely too late. I am returning it because it didn’t fit.
