I installed a ceiling light fixture that was just a bit too small to cover the hole in the ceiling. I didn't realize that til it was hung, so I first tried installing a "split" ceiling medallion that comes in two pieces so you don't have to take the fixture down to install. Though that can be convenient, I didn't like how the seam looked, so I went with this one. The medallion is made of dense foam and it's during enough. And you can't tell after installation that it's not wood or plaster. If cool white is your color then this medallion is ready to go. This one is hanging above a decorative flower pendant light in my daughter's room so I felt the need to paint it first to better fit in with the fixture.
