You would think that if a person bought something three times that the item would have the same dimension all three times. Turns out that even though these were $51 apiece, they were all cut differently. I went ahead and used them because unfortunately what I was looking for is not available out in the market. So I use the best I could stand it down, cut them down, trying to make the same. I was not planning on me having to do the additional work. And in addition, these parts were very rough so I had to do extra sanding.

Very rough but worked out great with the redwood slab mantle..just too expensive for a chunk of wood

I had my fireplace updated along with the mantel. And I purchased the 6" X 6" X 6" douglas fir rough corbels, which is perfect for the type of look I wanted. The rough is VERY rough and rustic and not smooth at all. The manufacture includes directions on how to acclimate the wood into your home which you should read first.
