- TIMER: Move the switch on the bottom to TIMER, the lantern will light up for 6 hours and then turns off for 18 hours automatically, cycle every 24 hours.
- POWER: This lantern can be powered by 3 AA batteries, or connect to power interface with the USB to DC connecting cable(included).

We're only going to use this for 1 month out of the year so I wanted this to stay on 24/7 without hearing dumb music out of a bad speaker so I removed the bottom (see below) and disconnected the speaker JST connector from the board. Now I can put it to the music mode (which doesn't have a timer) and run it full time. Why they didn't offer this option in the first place is one of those "wtf's".It's a nice little decoration for the top of a kegerator draft tower (four taps so it's a little wide, this base fits almost perfect). It does weigh a bit so I didn't need to add anything to mount it but just need to remember to take it down if I move the pub/draft/beer/savior box.To remove the bottom battery compartment, I used an eye glass flat head screwdriver to pry it open a little and a second mini screwdriver as a wedge while I slowly worked at the tabs which are a little hard to see until you've got some gap; there are two tabs that, with a little force, will release from the base and give you access. It took some patience and work (I started to think it was glued in but nope, just those tabs and a tight fit). Follow the speaker wire to the JST connector and pry off with needle nose pliers... there was some hot glue on it so a little effort was needed w/that. Snap battery compartment back in and you're golden.

This was a gift for a friend who loves snowmen AND snow globes. She was especially pleased with the timer options, but her adult children got a lot of joy from the lighting and music as well: a hit that my friend anticipates using every year. (And it is still up by popular demand.)

This is a great deal when you catch it at half off. Now that I have one in my hands, I WOULD NOT pay the full $30 price.Pro: fun, festive, winter-themed doodad. glitter is rainbow-y and beautiful. has a power cable.Con: music is annoying and short clips. batteries run out in less than a week of minor usage.The construction is all plastic. You can squeeze the clear chamber like a drinking water bottle. The outside casing is very obviously plastic as well. However, at the 1/2 off $17 price, it was worth it for a festive, seasonal decoration piece that the kiddos are in love with.

I’m not really a fan of the music but the snow globe part is beautiful. I love the timer setting so that I can just turn it on and forget about it and it will turn itself off after 6 hours. The size is perfect and it seems to be well made too.

Der Engel erleuchtet bereits den zweiten Winter unser Heim und bereitet große Freude. Wir nutzen ihn ausschließlich ohne Musik. Er funktioniert mit Kabel als auch mit Batterien und hat einen zuverlässigen Zeitschalter, der täglich um die einmal angeschaltete Uhrzeit angeht und dann sechs Stunden läuft. Möchten ihn in der dunklen Jahreszeit nicht mehr missen.
