This grinder holds just enough beans for our French Press. No more sludge in the bottom of my coffee cup! It turns slowly so the grinding process takes a hot minute. But this slow grinding makes it quite, develops very little mess, and results in a consistent grind. The bean holder is a rubber bellow. Don't press down on it in attempts to get all beans through as it will force air into the receiving vessel resulting in grounds on your counter top. That is the only thing I can find "wrong" with it. The fit and finish is top notch. It is stoutly made -- almost entirely metal less the bellow bean holder. No static electricity is developed as I am guessing the metal housing is grounded. Setting the grind size couldn't be easier. The price point won't break the bank and the results as far superior to the high speed, noisy bean grinder.

Good looking and sturdily built burr grinder, but wow what a piece of junk! I have now ordered two of these: the first one ground exactly one cup of coffee and then the motor would not spin with enough force to grind another bean. Amazon quickly replaced the original defective unit. The second one arrived today and had the same result - it ground exactly one cup of coffee and is now incapable of grinding more beans. It is not jammed or otherwise impeded. All components are in good shape. It’s just a defective design/build that you should avoid at all costs.

I recently entered the home espresso making world and purchased a Rancilio Silvia espresso machine! I even purchased a Rancilio Silvia grinder but I decided to give this grinder a go since it’s similar to the df64 grinders but less expensive! I didn’t have high expectations! This grinder exceeded all expectations and a great dupe for the df64! I am able to pull great shots with this grinder! It’s extremely quiet and it’s been working amazing for the past few weeks! Amazing little machine! So glad I took a shot on this! I don’t even use the Rancilio Silvia rocky doser anymore - this is so much easier to use!

I have many expensive grinders, I use a hand grinder when I travel but with the light filter roast coffee I prefer a hand grinder is really difficult.I’ve run 8lbs of seasoning beans through it while giving it a little time in between, it did not even blink! It also uses a tiny amount of power even while grinding (62 watts I believe) and I can power it easily with the small 115v converter I use when camping that plugs into a cigarette lighter outlet in the car, engine off.Taste is great, grind is very uniform & it’s near perfect!

The item design is the best thing about it. Mine cuts on and off for the first 30 seconds to a minute and then goes into a continual grind; I assume because of the beans volume. It does work in the end and grinds nicely. Nice looking on the counter.

This is perfect for our needs. We make a small pot of drip pour-over coffee every morning, using the 7 grind, then switch to an espresso early in the afternoon, at a 2 setting. There is no mess and no waste. It doesn't take up a lot of real estate on our counter, either. After trying two other very large and expensive systems, we sent them back and got this instead. We are delighted!

works well so far, 1 week. grinds very fine, even down to Turkish grind. using the 2.5 setting for espresso. very nice, quiet, solid metal construction- prob steel of some kind due to significant mass (not aluminum). very happy with it so far. durability is yet to be determined.
