This works but does not grate parmesan, it only shreds.It also sits low so you can only use a low bowl.The electric is nice but if I had to do it over I would just get a handheld manual crank one that is taller and lighter.Giving a 4 because it seems to work well overall and easy to clean but the low height and somewhat misleading nut grinder picture and reviews suggest this grate parmesan.Also; the instructions are not great.Seems solid and works well otherwise.

This electric "cheese grater" is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Sure, it comes with 5 different blades, but somehow manages to either pulverize your cheese into mush or leave you with awkward chunks that look like they were cut by a toddler with safety scissors. The 250W motor sounds impressive until you realize it struggles with anything firmer than a ripe banana.I had high hopes for making salads, but my carrots came out looking like abstract art, and don't get me started on trying to slice tomatoes – it's like the machine has a personal vendetta against anything round. The cleanup is a nightmare too, with food bits getting stuck in every nook and cranny.Save your money and stick to a regular grater. This gadget will just take up counter space and remind you of poor life choices.

It worked beautifully, until it broke. I was grating Parmesean cheese and it just snapped a piece of the plastic barrel right off and quit.No, I was not using much of any force at all in pushing the cheese down.I'm very disappointed, as I was loving it for the brief time I had it and it worked.

I love making my own Mac and cheese at home and slaw but I hate having to cut up all the cheese and cabbage to get these done. This has been my best friend since I received it It is so much quicker now to get all my stuff cut up and ready to cook and mix up. It is powerful and very easy to get started using. I have started trying to use it on other stuff getting chopped or grated up and believe me this is a must in your kitchen it will become your best friend and most used appliance.

The good:The best thing about this electric grater/slicer is the motor. I've only used it for cheese, and it chews through blocks of cheese quickly and easily. Absolutely love that about it.Very easy to assemble and disassemble for each use.Very easy to clean. For cleaning, I rinse it in the sink to dislodge any food particles then toss it in the dishwasher top rack (not sure if it's dishwasher "safe", but we haven't had any problems).The bad:It feels cheap, and I don't expect a long life from it. The blades for example, are inset into very thin brittle feeling plastic. Each blade insert has 2 tiny plastic tabs that snap into the central drum, those tabs look and feel like they'll snap off early in the life of the product.The suction cup feet are tiny and barely stick to the counter. Although the motor is strong, you still have to put some downward pressure feeding the unit, this causes the small suction cups to release and the device to tip.I wish the area where your food is discharged was up higher, it's too close to the counter. I can only place a small cereal sized bowl under it, which isn't convenient if you are cutting or grating much more than a single serving.

We put this blade on when we received it and never took it off since then. We use it 5 or 6 times to shred cheddar cheese and the plastic part holding the blade broke down making it impossible to use again. Really cheap for the price it sells!!!

my husband bought this for me for Christmas i have only used it a few times never cleaned in the dishwasher always by hand and it broke in the same spot in two different areas. Found out it is still under warranty and the seller has replaced the broken part with new pieces... lets see how long it lasts, the new part seems stronger! It was easy dealing with the seller!!!

Since it’s called an electric cheese grater you would expect it to grate cheese but when using it gets bogged down and goes very slowNot worth the money at all
