When Does the Throttle Body Need to Be Replaced
Matching the Throttle Body Correctly
- Turn the key to the power supply position, and don't start the car.
- After standing still for about 10 seconds, quickly press the accelerator pedal all the way down; then quickly lift the pedal up after about 15 seconds.
- Turn off the ignition switch, remove the key, and leave it for about 15 seconds.

My compass stopped accelerating in Atlanta traffic off Cascade road.. I did 20 mph all the way home. I called my mechanic and he said he couldn’t do it call the dealership. The dealer wanted me to pay $832 for the part and have my jeep towed for $150 and this was before the initial labor. My coworker had me to order part from Amazon for $55 and he put it on for $100… running smooth…thanks Amazonâ¤ï¸â¤ï¸

This was not a great fit for my avenger. The car is very sensitive to non OEM parts the value would have been great if it worked on my car. It didn't function, as it didn't work in the car. Sent it back and ordered an OEM part.
