When I replaced the speedometer on my motorcycle, I went from having separate left and right turn signal indicators on the instrument cluster to having just one indicator light on the speedometer.I needed to install a diode on each circuit to prevent the circuits from crossing and both sets flashing at the same time.I simply soldered them in line, placing the end of the diode with the gray ring on the negative side, (in my case mounted the positive wire from the battery, the ring is on the side of the light, facing away from the battery), and covered it with heat shrink tubing.For my 12 volt system with 1 LED presenting a load to the diode, 3 amps is way more than sufficient, but the size is still very small (approx. 3/16 x 3/8 inches) so they don't get in the way.I've ridden my bike with these installed every day for the last 2 months, and have not had any issues.They work very well for my bike and when properly installed can handle vibrations, heat, and rain, so they'll probably work well for most other applications you have.

I used these to make a joystick controller for my snow plow. I needed to send power from three different switches for left, right, and up to individual solenoids, while also sending power from each switch to a hydraulic pump motor without allowing any back feed of power to an unselected direction. These worked perfectly for the application and they felt stout enough to stand up to a rough-service application.

Used for directly connecting my tow vehicle to the towed vehicles lights. Worked great and cheap insurance against any electric issues on the cars. All the ones I got seem to work fine

I used these while installing additional lighting on a motorcycle. I wanted to prevent current from back-feeding into other circuits and they did the job just fine.

Bought for a boat electrical lighting project. Works as expected. Marking paint rubs off easily though. Overall seem to be a quality product.

not a lot to say here. They are diodes and they did a great job in my latest alarm install. Here's a tip, if you need more than 3Amp capacity, you can wire a few in parallel and gain additional capacity. Each one added yields roughly an addition 3-amps of capacity.
