a lot of wood fillers have a lot of gritty sand in them and are Very soupy or wet, many say they are stainible but don't cut it. this filler (if it has sand in it) is very fine....fills in nice, they sell it in natural which can be stained but make sure it's says CARPENTERS and had the same brown and orange label. I used to get this at my local HW store and they stopped carrying it....and replaced it with some elmers product that was way to wet and sandy.if you are looking for a good smooth paintable filler this is really good, famowood makes a good product too but it dries out superfast, you can keep this onhand for touch ups a it holds up longer and cost less.it does shrink up if used very thick but can be adjusted with addtional application after 48 hours. for nail holes fill in and miter joints best bang for the buck.

We can't find in stores anymore, so glad they sell it on Amazon as this is our favorite nail hole filler for prefinished trim, hubby & I own a carpentry business so we use it often.

I'm on a quest to find wood fillers that dry hard and don't crumble. This works very well and scrapping with your nail will take only a bit off. I've used things like plastic wood that honestly just crumble and don't have strength

Best wood filler on the market. Some are too thick and don't fill holes and cracks. I've used this on a bunch of areas and bought multiple times. Nail holes, paint cracks, trim or crown molding gaps. Everywhere. Dries near invisible. Perfect.
