Works great, for me it's the perfect balance of weight/size/length for building my embouchure back up. I mustt say, though, if you leave it sitting on your desk and people don't know what it is. . .it just looks kind of weird. Like "WHAT is that??" So other than it looking like a weird foreign object used for unknown purposes, it is excellent for embouchure building.

First off, I play alto sax and even though it says for trumpet, it works for woodwind instruments too.Starting off with the end that you think is made to hold the item is not what is intended for. You would put that end in your mouth as if it were your mouthpiece. Not the whole thing, you just make your embochure around that hourglass looking end. This helps develope the corners of your embochure and helps tighten those corners. The flat plunger end is such an easy excercise. You would place it in front of your teeth, and make your embochure around the metal tube, and then you sort of gently try to pull your lips out and away from your teeth but never pulling it out, only a very slight tug and work those muscles.And it works wonders.
