I'm a model rocket guy and I'm always looking for different suppliers of Kevlar line and cord. Kevar line is used in model and High Power rockets to connect the parachute (or streamer) to the airframe and nose cone. As the rockets get bigger heavier strength cord is used. I recently purchased 1000 feet of 100 lb line to see if it would be suitable for my rockets. A lot of Kevalr being sold is brittle or not braided when claimed it is braided.I was pleasantly surprised with the EMMAKITES KEVLAR line I purchased and received. First it is very soft and not brittle or stiff, The high quality of this line is very apparent to me and my rocket friends. I removed the previous Kevlar cord in my old standy rocket the Estes Alpha and repalced it with the newly purchased Kevlar Line and a short section of elastic cord. The Kevlar is very strong and is suitable for the hot ejection charge. while the elastic absorbs the shock when the parachute deploys. The first test launch was flawless the cord showed no heat damage and is still kite flexible. I now plan to order some heavier gage cord for larger and bigger rockets. The price is quite affordable and the delivery was very fast. It's not just for kites!

Seems pretty nice, although the string seems to shred more than I would expected for Kevlar.

I put the entire 1000 feet on a reel. Much less risk of slicing yourself open. The 100# Kevlar is almost as light and thin as 50# Dacron. Remember you can't seal the strands at the end by melting, but an online search will tell you how. Noticed that at some angles to the sun it vanishes, while at others it almost shimmers. My kites have no problem lifting this line. Don't cross lines with someone else's kite, it might cut their line.

This line is very strong for kite line. The wind was strong and the regular kit line we were using at first kept breaking, we switched to the Kevlar line and did not have any breaks the rest of the day.

Although this is Kevlar, it is NOT fire proof and will catch on fire. Other than that it is strong and fairly durable. I would not recommend this for fire whips, it is too thin.

Worked a treat replacing damaged string on our kites, it’s strong enough to cope with the winds we get off the sea and as the roll is so big it will last a good while.
