Works well to keep the hood release cable from slipping out of the inside cab mount due to pulling to hard on it.

I found this on mavericktruck.com forums. If you add hood struts you need this to "lift" the hood after the second pull to open the hood. Or it will not "POP" up. But for the price it is a welcomed piece. Just need to open the mounting hole a touch to install on factory hood latch bolt. You know you need it after installing hood struts.

I added this to my 2023 Ford Maverick because the hood wouldn’t pop up enough to open after I had added hood prop struts. Works every time now.
