My 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee wasn't remote starting. Kept saying "Hood Ajar" on the dash when trying to remote start. The sensor in the hood latch had gone bad. Found this product that matched the OEM Part Number. I ordered it. Was easy to install. you remove the hood latch cable an two 8mm bolts holding it on an the sensor plug. bolt the new on an reattach the cable an sensor. Closed the hood an hit the remote start button an the Jeep started. very satisfied with the product an the price point. took like 15 minutes to replace the part.

2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee needed new hood latch. This one is much less expensive than Mopar and works just as well.
