My driver side spring broke and came off. It was a 5 minute swap to take the old bracket off and put this one. Easy peazy. And now my hood stays up like it should. You will absolutely be happy with this replacement.

OEM General Motors part. Exactly as originally manufactured. I removed and replaced my original hinge (with a broken spring) and installed the replacement hinge in just three minutes. All you need is a 13mm socket wrench. Great value. I paid $22 here on Amazon March 25th 2024.

Part arrived sooner then expected and worked perfect even though it said it did not fit. Went by number on old part and the new one on web site had same number so I went for it and it worked..15035591L

Thought installing in a 1999 would help, no difference. Unless the spring is damaged leave it.
