These are sharp and easily pocketable.Not quite tin snips, but just about.Very comfortable for small/medium hands. Can also be squeezed from the outside for greater leverage.

These are good scissors, but not quite as rigid as I expected from the pictures. They work well enough, but don't excel in any particular dimension for me except for the look, which is pretty cool.

Stronger than ordinary kitchen/utility scissors. I've used to trim flower bouquet ends, cardboard, and hard plastic packaging. So many uses. Have recommended to a friend who also bought and is pleased. I bought 2 more pairs for gifts.

Need a pair of utility scissors that are not only well built, ingeniously designed, but also showcase the manufacturer's pride in craftsmanship? Then look no further than the PH-55 scissors from ENGINEER.At this price point, you'd expect something less than impressive, that might last a year or so, and be a run of the mill pair of scissors. This is not the case with ENGINEER scissors. The joint hardware is precision fit, and delivers a smooth-as-butter action. No binding, no tight/loose spots in the travel of the halves. The way the halves travel as you cut through a wide range of material is impressive enough to make me think these were hand fit, and lapped together (I appreciate fine tools). The shears are partially "micro-serrated", so you get a firm bite when cutting difficult materials, such as tubing, leather, etc. NO walking as you cut, they deliver straight, precise cuts.The handles are offset, so you can grip these scissors with confidence, and comfort. Like to hold your scissors like a telecom technician or electrician for maximum leverage? Go right ahead, they're comfortable.Just a note, if you have large hands, the handles may seem a little on the diminutive side, but don't let this stop you; just adjust your grip. Speaking of handles, yes, they are pretty busy looking...they have a kind of "Transformers" look, like they'll turn into a truck, or a space ship, or a robot. However, they nest into a matching hard plastic sheath, and believe me, they tend to get noticed when I'm on the job site. Gripes about the sheath? I really wish the well designed, friction-locking sheath had a belt clip! It's that damned cool!In short: In the market for some hard-use utility scissors? Give the ENGINEER PH-55 a shot!

Great little scissors, cut almost anything while staying sharp. These little Engineer PH-55 Compact scissors work so well I bought a 2nd pair.

I've been collecting tools made in Japan and figured to give these a go as I wanted some nicer shears. The shears themselves are alright, come with some nifty features on the blades, don't do the best cutting through thick plastic clamshell packaging but they work fine on lots of other stuff. They also come with a blade guard that snaps on and has this uniquely "Japanese aesthetic" to them, like some of Engineer's other tools such as the Neijisaurus pliers.The handles have little flaps on them that are meant to keep you from pinching your fingers. That's all well and good I suppose. The big flaw for me is the ergonomics of them in general. Hard plastic, unnecessary shapes on them purely for aesthetic purposes, and they made the bold decision to make the sprue line (what looks like a seam between two halves of a plastic part) come together at an angle to each other rather than making it nice and round inside the handles or better, perfectly flat. It just creates this unnecessary edge that when you're cutting something tougher makes these things downright painful to use.I mean the aesthetic is neat and all but in this case it impacts the usability pretty substantially for me. Wanted to like them, I really did, but the handles...

Absolutely Nothing to dislike at allPractical scissors with 14 different uses that I've found so far.The capacities and options are clearly stated in the packaging ,with photos and description in Japanese & English.It has, to mention just a few positive features ;virtually indestructible handles, multiple gripping options, blade edges& hardness value etched onto the face of the shears etc . etc. the list goes on.I have previously bought 3 others for myself and family members.The ease of cutting hard plastics,thick cardboard etc is very satisfyingAs someone with industrial guillotine technicaI expertise, I can fully appreciate this product.Highly recommended, please check product is the suitablefor your own requirements, this one is heavier duty than e.g. kitchen scissors

yes you can.. compact but powerful cutter.. what better way to bring a scissor as EDC.. comes with a sheath too.. would recommend this cutter.. :)
