I was worried about using this at first, because the Joy is not intended to do any engraving. But I tested it out on the back of my dog's old rabies tag and it worked! I probably should've done multiple passes so it didn't just look like I scratched it on there but that's what tests are for :)

The engraving tool worked with my Joy Xtra. However, you need to keep in mind that the Joy Xtra doesn't offer the engraving feature so you will have to work with the settings. Other than that, it's a nice tool if you have the Joy Xtra and want to engrave.

I was going to purchase one of these from my local craft store until I found out I couldn’t use the store coupon on Cricut branded products. So I tried this one out and it worked beautifully, I was able to install it easily in my Joy and make some fun engraved acrylic charms for my kids backpacks, I haven’t tried it on metal yet, but it worked really well on acrylic. I’m curious if it will work well on some UV resin charms I plan on making. I love that I can make custom charms and keychains. Sometimes it’s hard to find charms with my kids favorite characters, they like SanX, Sanrio, and lots of obscure manga. So being able to make a cool Anya charm for my SpyXFamily crazy kids is very cool. I’m not sure how long this engraving tip will last, but after making about 15 charms it is still sharp. I’m curious if it will go dull if I use it on metal. I may keep this one for acrylic and get an extra one for metal to compare.

This Cricut cutter is easy to use just pop it in the Cricut and you’ll be able to create the design of your choice. Works well.

It works pretty good, fits well and cuts almost the same as the original one. Is nice to have a replacement, easy to put and looks the same. I like it comes with a protective silicon cap.
