I got this to replace a diverter that had a washer that was dried out. This was making a leak and drip out of the bottom when the shower was on.This new one seems to be working fine so far with no leaks. The connection to the piping in the wall is plastic so I definitely took it slow and used pipe threading when installing.

Be careful when ordering a new tub faucet that the screw in portion is the correct size. My pipe is 1/2 inch and this is a bit larger than that, so it did not work. The faucet seems decent although it does not have any other parts nor a set screw, which I found interesting. May be more standard in other places, just be careful you order the correct size for your tub pipes.
