Product Description

The Sure Strike 40 oz. Blacksmith Hammer from Estwing has a forged steel blue painted head which is hardened and tempered and has a New England style head that offers two very different striking surfaces. The face is fully polished and beveled to reduce chipping. This Blacksmith hammer has a jacketed and textured yellow fiberglass handle which allows for heavier blows in an environment where there is limited swing. It's pretty good hammer needs a little bit of work on the head cuz it has some sharp edges if you're going to use it for blacksmithing

A great big hammer that is useful for me as a garage-dwelling maker. Im not a blacksmith, and I dont use this to blacksmith. But I use it to hit metal when I need something bent or straightened or just hit hard. Its very good for this, the rubber grip is comfy and doesnt send a buzz up my arm when I hit it wrong.
