Add traction to your lawn and driveway without the use of dangerous, corrosive salts with the ecoTraction Winter Snow and Ice Traction Granule Formula. This unique blend is non-toxic and safe for use with children and pets. Made from a naturally occurring volcanic mineral, the granules absorb sunlight after spreading. This causes them to melt into the ice, creating a rough, sandpaper-like surface that provides traction while walking. Unlike salts or other snow-melts, these pellets are completely safe to use with pets, plants, and children. The formula also retains humidity and nutrients after the snow melts, helping encourage plant growth when they reach your garden. The material is non-corrosive and will not damage your lawn or garden, unlike highly corrosive chemical snow melts. Safe and friendly for your garden and lawn, this natural blend makes snow traversable without nasty chemicals or corrosive salts. Naturally treat your icy walk and lawn with ecoTraction Winter Snow and Ice Traction Granule Formula to make a safe trackway today.

Works well, like that it is not harmful to animals, brick or concrete and breaks down.

I had a new sidewalk put in over the summer and the contractor sealed it with something that became extremely slippery when wet. When winter arrived the sidewalk was treacherous with just a little snow and un-walkable with ice. This product works just as described and probably saved someone slipping and falling. The only downside, when blowing or sweeping, the Eco Traction is also swept away. (But it does not take much product to re-cover the sidewalk.)

My fault for not reading it very well I guess. I read it over and over, but some reason, I still thought it melted ice. It DOES NOT MELT ice or snow. It does however, provide great traction on it. We've had a lot of ice lately, and I was very concerned about my grandparent's who live next door. They are in their early 90's, and the wooden ramp is quite steep. Steep for me, so I know it is for them. I was looking for something that was safe on the wood, and also would keep them from falling or slipping on it. So far, this has helped to keep that from happening.Definitely use salt or some other safe solution for melting the ice or snow, in addition to this. When the salt melts away, this is still left behind. Not a bad thing at all. You can either leave it where it is, or sweep it up, and sprinkle it back down again. I did find myself using more than it says though. Overly cautious I guess, but I'd rather be safe than have someone fall and get hurt. Especially, my elderly grandparents who could very easily break a hip or something.I love that it can be re-used, and can also be a supplement to the soil or garden bed. No waste here! So, sweep it back up, and sprinkle it again. Save it for another time, for sure. I try to buy all natural items whenever possible, especially since I have chemical sensitivities, and what I put on our walks, steps, and ramps is just as important as other products we use. At least this is reusable, and safe for pets, and wildlife.*This product was purchased at full price for my own use.

We have wood deck and steps around front and rear doors and they can get incredibly slippery. Salts aren't great for the wood, and with a lot of animal traffic (pets of ours/neighbors, and wildlife) we worry about injury from chemicals. This product works as claimed, providing real traction wherever you put it, on both shoveled hard surfaces, as well as on thick packed snow and ice where salt melts wouldn't stand a chance. The downside is that the granules can eventually be covered by additional snowfall, with resulting loss of traction -- whereas salts would likely melt subsequent snow, within reasonable temperature ranges. You may end up clearing off the new snow as well as the granules you put down, requiring you to put down more replacement granules. Fortunately a little goes a long way; but the real concern is that you have to be vigilant and not rely on this product to keep things safe when you're not able to stay on top of the situation.

I am using this in far northern NYS on my newly-built-and-stained cabin walkway, steps, and deck (western red cedar). As I have dogs and also did not care to apply corrosives (e.g. salt) to either the deck or dogs’ paws, I thought I would give this stuff a try. In a word, outstanding...so far. With a very light application ( a handful scattered), I’ve found that it supplies excellent traction! Yes, it is a bit pricey, but I think that if applied judiciously the bag will last a surprisingly long time. It really does not take much to give a good feeling of security on deck and steps. Winter is here, and I think we have a winner here. The dogs seem unaffected by it (they don’t lick their paws a bunch when they come in, unlike when I have used salt), the traction factor is great, and in the Spring we will see what effect it has had on the deck. I have also noticed that it doesn’t run off or dissolve when the rain showers come, at least not for several days. Interesting product! Lastly, this stuff doesn’t seem to track into the cabin the way rock salt can, so that’s a plus.

I my Love EcoTraction ET9RB All-Natural Volcanic Mineral Ice. It is safe for pets & concrete.I have been using it since 2011 and I'm very happy with how it works. I get 3-20 lb bags every year. It's different then ice melt as it gives a traction. It's similar to driving on a gravel road verses a tar road on a slippery day. This embeds itself in ice & snow to give you grip. If you shovel and throw it in the grass it will feed the grass because it's a mineral. I have cats so I needed something very safe because they lick their paws. In the Spring when the snow melts and your sidewalk is dry, JUST SWEEP IT UP.... Put it in a container for next winter. Make sure it's dry... My sidewalk is 60 feet long and I normally sweep up about 20 -30 lbs in the Spring. What a nice saving.... I hope this helps.Fast delivery Super product...

I first bought this last year, as I'm concerned about my dogs feet, the fact I use well water, as well as having a garden. So naturally, I don't want salt and other chemicals around any of these things. The stuff is amazing! My driveway as well as my lane are dirt, with a small amount of natural stones within it. It gets dangerously slippery in winter. This stuff is incredible, it only takes a small amount and your boots really grip onto it and I have not slipped on the ice once since starting to use it last winter. I thought I would need to use quite a lot of it when the ice becomes super glassy and slippery, but it only takes a sprinkle. So a little of this goes along way. I just bought more today, as I think it is an incredible product and I don't need to even think about using anything else. I will always buy this. I love that it's more environmentally responsible. I absolutely do not use chemical products in my home, or my yard, or on myself- I think we've done enough damage to this beautiful planet, let alone ourselves. Live clean!

Works well to prevent slips. I saw this onDragon’s Den many years ago—this bag is the second one I bought—lasts a long time. No damage to property or garden and if it trekked into the house—sweeps or vacuums up. Speedy delivery.

This natural zeolite clay product is an excellent soil additive, in addition to giving traction on ice and absorbing oil on concrete.
