This tool actually cuts cardboard with ease. This is great for someone who cuts different type of cards all the time, a good examples are arts and crafts hobbyist. I can also see this being used professionally. As far as durability, as usual, only time will tell. But it seems to be decently built and can take some sort of abuse. With the little time I have used it, the only thing I found that could be improved is the safety button, even though is an ambidextrous safety button I believe the placement of the button is quite awkward. I am normally used to reaching safety buttons with my thumb. But this one, you'll have to operate with your index finger which is not efficient nor practical since you have to shift your hand to be able to operate it properly. So if the manufacturer could redesign the tool and move the safety button within reach of the thumb without having the need to shift entire hand to operate it. Aside from that, the tool does what it supposed to do.

Evcitn Cordless Electric Scissors, Cardboard Cutter with ReplacementThese electric scissors work as described. Unfortunately, they won't work for my needs. The safety part on the bottom (which is extremely important for safety) does not allow for straight cuts for book binding board.

Much easier to use compared to regular scissors on cardboard. Good device. Never knew something like this existed. Would have been very useful for previous projects.

I almost purchased a different cutter, but when I saw the videos peeps had posted, the noise was unbearable, so I thought I'd try this Evcitn and I'm glad I did.Pros:* Easily cuts cardboard boxes* Easily cuts carpet* NO loud noise* Safety switchThis Evcitn cutter has a safety lock, so you don't have to worry about accidentally cutting yourself.There's also a "warning" about not overcharging the device, so be careful.I charged this cutter 5 hours the first nite and 3 hrs the next day and it's great.

In the end, it's faster to tear up a box yourself if that's what your looking to purchase this for. It may be useful for other purposes, haven't tried it on anything else.
