I got 2 of these thinking we found an answer to keeping our dogs with us while in the front yard. This product may work for smaller dogs., but we have Golden Labs. They just walked away with the screw dragging behind. We tried it in different types of soil hardness and screwed it all the way down. The dogs are too strong for it. We still use the leash tied to a tree or gate. Again I am sure this will work for small to mid-sized dogs, Or perhaps an older dog that is not as energetic as our pups.
