Bought to cut stones for a pond border. it is very easy to use for an older person like me. It cuts through 2 1/2 inches of stone without much effort, and makes a clean cut. I would recommend having someone else direct a very small jet of water on the cut. The cutting creates a lot of abrasive dust which will enter the machine's cooling ports and eventually damage the rotor. The water eliminates the dust but, as with everything involving water and electricity, you must wear rubber shoes , be careful not to spray water on the saw and make sure that the electric connections do not stand in water.

Why rent when you can own!? I got this for a small project redoing a patio with pavers that were installed by previous owner and one section we installed a huge concrete pad. To get all the pavers to fit nice, we needed to either rent a big honkin' 14" gas saw for X number hours or buy this compact 9" unit. After watching several youtube videos, this looked like a winner. Forget about trying to use a vacuum on here as I've seen videos where its not helping much. The best way to keep dangerous dust down and help keep the blade cool is to get a helper or maybe Jerry-rig up a hose with water running on about the 7 o'clock position is what I had my wife do. I was able to cut big bricks very fast with the OEM blade with minimal mess. Just make sure the blade wash isn't tossing water onto your cord connection.... :) Cuts very fast and clean. Highly recommending this unit as you never know when you need to cut some concrete block or other items. I haven't tried but I'm betting this will run fine off my Honda 2000 gas generator if needed when too far away from a house outlet. We're planning on making a remote patio sitting area with left over pavers. Will update in the future on how that option goes.

Bought this for a couple of specific jobs. 1. Redoing some plumbing in my basement ( concrete floor). It easily cut the concrete necessary to access the plumbing. Nice neat cut lines. Note- it does create a LOT of dust. Hearing and eye protection is also required.2, cutting up a large concrete slab outside. Worked great on that project too

Cuts amazing. Not sure if it was the saw or blade it came with but there's a slight wobble when cutting. Got the job done nonetheless

Plenty of power. Great quality. The bottom guide wheels make it easy to control. I was very pleased with the results and i didn’t have to spend a fortune.

I cut about 150 of these 4" concrete blocks and this saw went through them like butter. After reading other reviews, I was careful to avoid overheating by only cutting one or two blocks at a time. Then I'd let the saw rest for a minute while I put my cut blocks into place. I think these short little breaks keep it from overheating. Gas powered saws like this rent for $99 a day where I live. So I was very happy to go slow with my own saw and use several days to get this job done without a rental bill. I look forward to saving more money when I have to cut bricks and rebar in the future.Did want to add, the saw states that it only cuts 3 1/2 inches deep and that proved to be true. It left 1/2" of my 4" blocks. It turned out to be very easy to pop apart this last bit with a single hammer/chisel blow. I could have paid the $300 for the bigger saw and made a super clean cut, but it turned out that I didn't need perfect cuts, so I'm glad I saved some money.Last thing, I was by myself, so it did generate a ton of dust without a second person to spray the blocks with water. It has has hose connection looking thing, but I didn't trust it with a plugged in tool.

We had high hopes for this saw as we were using it to cut old metal racking into smaller pieces to put in a scrap bin. We purchased this in March and used it for 1.5 weeks. We brought it back out this week to use it again on the same thing and it has burnt up after 2 days of use. I'm not sure I would recommend this product as its not built to last.

This saw is so awesome at cutting concrete and asphalt. I needed to cut a few hundred feet of asphalt and concrete. I wasn't sure if this saw would get the job done. I was very surprised at how fast and easy it was to use. THE DUST IS INSANE - unless you're outside with a breeze - you should wear a ventilator. After just a few minutes of using this saw without a mask, I thought I was going to die of black lung from the asphalt dust. My shoes were filled with fine asphalt dust. So much dust. Otherwise - amazing tool. Totally worth the price to get my project done.

I bought this saw to cut concrete blocks for my patio wall. It works fantastic! Cuts through concrete like a hot knife through butter. The blade that it comes with it does a great job. It’s light, feels solid and it was a great price! As long as you use it safely, you’ll love this concrete saw.

Ordered this from the UK and when it arrived it was US specification 120 volts not UK 240V. I didn't see that on the product description, so I am returning it.
