Solid construction with a powerful motor. I may have misunderstood the voltage requirement because I said 220 bus But it's definitely a 110 plug with the GFCI integrated into the cord I tried to cancel it because of this but was too late. When it came in the mail in a timely matter it was just what I needed and works great with a 110 outlet

I was doing a remodel and could not find a contractor that could cut my tile floor without creating tons of dust. I bought this for this one job and it was worth it. I connected a water hose to it and my wife vacuumed the slurry as I made the cut. This small saw cut through 3/8" tile and 1/2" of sheet rock like a hot knife through butter! No dust at all. Highly recommend to anyone.

When I first saw this little thing, I was worried it would not be up to the task, but it has performed admirably.

I needed 220v but shipped 120v. Does not work for me.

I bought this to cut countertops. Overall, it seems as well-made as any Makita tool, which is a fairly high standard. It's powerful and easy to handle, did the job well. I'm not giving it 5 stars though... I would give it 4.5 if that were an option. The main improvements I would suggest for this product are:The water connection is a little chintzy plastic. I also have a Makita water-fed angle polisher, and its water connection is much more robust, brass and integrated into the tool. This plastic one just attaches to the blade guard. It has worked fine so far but I feel like I have to be delicate with it. I added some strapping to secure it better and attach the hose to the cord partway to reduce chance of snagging while making a cut.Making a straight cut with a straightedge is difficult with this saw. The foot is only on one side of the blade, which is great for viewing the cut while using the saw, but there's nothing to slide against a straightedge on that side. You can slide the other side of the foot against a straightedge, which should be secured exactly 4" away from the desired cut position, but the straightedge needs to be very thin to avoid the motor housing. If you're making a shallow cut, the motor housing is raised higher, so that will accommodate a thicker straightedge, but if you need to make a full depth cut it's tough to find a straightedge that fits. It would be very helpful to have an accessory that attaches to the blade side of the foot in an adjustable way that can run against a bigger straightedge like a 2x4, or be turned upside down to run against the edge of the material.

Really nice saw. Did my whole patio in 16-inch concrete pavers. I can't think of any complaints. I'm an armature, so maybe I just don't know any better, but I do own a lot of Makita tools and have never had a problem with any of them.
