Gentle heat is provided by a long-life NiChrome heating element. Automatic, hands free operation with a 35 second safety shut off (in case of sensor tampering or malfunction). The Amazon return window closed Sept 12 2022, product installed in new restaurant bathroom on Oct 1 2022 . Product motor quit working properly and began to emit burning smell on Oct 28 2022. The restaurant has not yet opened for business. This hand dryer did not last very long!

I was looking for hand dryers to replace the paper towels in our manufacturing plant. I bought one of these to trial. It does a fair job of drying considering it's not heated. I guess I should say it does a fair job in the amount of time one would expect to have one's hands dry. If you're willing to wait another 5 seconds the rating would be 4 stars. I am going to try a Dyson unit for a few hundred $$ more and see which is a better value.
