These is the same brand I bought in 2016. I use it daily. I dropped and cracked it several times. I use a very sticky tape to repair. It lasted abt 2 yrs until I was concerned abt bacteria.

Excellent quality at a reasonable price. Took a while to get used to the spin handle since I have only ever owned the pull cord type. I think the pull type spins faster and does a better job of getting the water out. Watch your knuckles if you let go of the handle since it continues to spin for several revolutions. Locking mechanism works well so you don't end up wearing the salad. A very serviceable product that does the job but heavy salad eaters in large families may prefer something with more capacity. No problem recommending this unit.Someone asked for dimensions: Capacity, 4 1/2 qt. Diameter[top]10",Diameter[bottom]8",Height[to top of basket]4 1/2", Height[to top of spinner knob]6 1/2". Storage space required if stored in original carton: L 9 3/4",H 9 1/2",W 6".

I can't be too mad - I chose the least expensive salad spinner I could find, after all. It worked fine for around 2 years, although it never felt particularly sturdy. But recently the large outer bowl cracked when I tried to move it with one hand by an edge - it did have a bit of water in it, but not anything that should have made it heavy enough to crack, imo. I can't bring myself to give a cheap plastic item less than 3 stars when it did its job for 2 years, but be warned that you will be purchasing again in the near future.

I wish I had read the reviews before I bought it! I actually bought 2, one was for a present. When I opened the box from Amazon one salad spinner box was wrapped (& taped) in bubble wrap, the other was not. I decided to keep that one for myself - the box lid was hanging open, when I fully opened the box I found a small, flimsy salad spinner. The basket (there is only one) was warped so the thing would not spin (the lid would not seat properly in the basket, not allowing the spin mechanism to work). I was able to gently bend the basket back into shape enough to get it to work. I will have to make sure that this is washed by hand, because there is no way this cheap plastic basket can go through a dishwasher without being warped beyond repair. Would return them both, but returns are such a hassle! Save your money!

I've been using this kind of (very useful) item for years, this one is the best I've got so far... Only (small) drawback, contrary to all the other spinners I've used, the bowl is made of hard plastic, if it breaks the spinner won't be usable anymore.
