DOREMiDi MIDI Pedal Converter MPC-10

MIDI Pedal Converter (MPC-10) is a converter designed by DOREMiDi that can automatically detect multiple types of instrument pedals to solve the problem of insufficient number of pedals during performance. This product is compatible with positive polarity expression pedal, reverse polarity expression pedal, sustain pedal, dual-switch pedal, electronic drum hi-hats. It has MIDI DIN and USB MIDI outputs, and is suitable for use in a variety of performance scenarios.

MPC-10

Different Types of Pedals Can be Connected

MPC-10 has 2 pedal connection interfaces, which can connect 2 different types of pedals. And the design of automatic pedal detection is adopted inside, which can automatically detect different types of pedals. MPC-10 is currently compatible with positive polarity expression pedals, reverse polarity expression pedals, sustain pedals, dual switch type pedals, FSR electronic Hi-hat.

MPC-10-1

Connect the Instrument

MPC-10 has a MIDI output interface, which can be directly connected to musical instruments with a MIDI input interface. In order to maintain a portable design, MPC-10 uses a 3.5 audio port as MIDI output, which can be converted to a standard MIDI DIN interface using a 3.5-to-MIDI five-pin cable (this accessory is included in the product package).

MPC-10-2

Connect to the Computer

MPC-10 is equipped with USB MIDI function, which can be directly connected to computer, mobile phone and other terminal devices to realize MIDI control. Compatible with Windows, Mac, iOS, Android and other systems, no need to install drivers, plug and play.

MPC-10-2

With Firmware Upgrade Function

Taking into account the subsequent optimization issues, MPC-10 also designed a firmware upgrade function, which can provide personalized customization for different users.

Excellent Industrial Design

The whole body of MPC-10 is made of aluminum alloy, with frosting and wire drawing process, and with shock-absorbing foot pads. It has a textured appearance and a solid shock-absorbing and non-slip design. It can be used in various playing occasions. MPC-10 weighs only about 50g, which is light and easy to carry around.

I have a sustain pedal that I like that I normally use with my Ableton Push, but when I go mobile I use a different midi controller that doesn't have a sustain input. So I plugged the sustain pedal into this Doremidi device, plugged the device into my computer's USB) and it just immediately worked with Ableton and the instrument I'm controlling with my midi controller without any further setup. (Don't think it matters, but for what it's worth the midi controller I'm using is a Novation Launchpad X.) My only complaint about this device is the price (about $45 at the time of this writing) , but admittedly I did a lot of research and couldn't find anything else like it on the market. I'm keeping it.

This was purchased specifically for Maschine as it, unlike Ableton Push, it does not have an input for a sustain jack. This is far smaller than legacy options like midi solutions, and is usb powered.. plugged it in and it simply worked.can't complain and can highly recommend for any MI box that supports class compliant devices but no sustain jack

I so much wanted this to work. However, using it with a mac (osx 14.6.1 with Airbook silicon), plugging it in with USB, it was not recognized by my computer nor my DAW (logicPro). The microscopic (is 2 point text possible?) manual showed a web site where I went to download software. However, the software is NOT verified by apple and NOT something that can be installed on my mac. Please... if you have hardware that you want customers to be able to use, take some time in setting up your software correctly and do it through apple, etc. thank you.

The Mac software for this is a train wreck. Half of the labels are unreadable (white on white), so the only way you can figure out how to use it is by looking at the documentation and memorizing which controls are which. The software is also somewhat unintuitive in that it isn't obvious what programs exist, but I don't *think* that it reads the device's configuration, so if you want to change the configuration, you'll need to save the configuration to a file and load it back before you program it.I'd like this product a whole lot more if they open sourced the pedal control app and put it up on GitHub where we could A. fully understand how it works, and B. fix all of its many UI deficiencies. About two or three hours of work by a Mac software engineer would do wonders. The other thing I wish — and this is a somewhat more minor nit — is that it had two USB-C connectors — one for power and one for programming the thing — so that you could leave a cable hooked up to the latter and plug it in when needed. I have this device mounted under an organ desk, and there's no such thing as a minor cable change in that environment. I suspect that's not an uncommon use case, so I hope they'll consider it in a future revision.

I needed to add a pedal for a function in MainStage, but was stuck with a very basic keyboard with only a sustain pedal port. the MPC-10 was detected immediately as a new MIDI port and I had a Boss FS-5U assigned in MainStage within 10 seconds. Also plan to use this with a mioXL and RTP MIDI network to send QLab control commands from the stage up to the audio desk.Nice metal housing and it has been very stable thus far. A great little utility box.

it works as intended, but you might need to read the manual ( my advice is to head first into their webpage) and have some knowledge of midi, I have used it with expression pedals and dual buttons and you might need to use trs cables instead of ts. You also need to connect your pedal or buttons first before powering up, the hardware does calibrate itself as soon is powered, so you need to position your expression pedal at the center before powering up so the converter can calibrate it properly.Software needs some love (used it on windows 11, no issues like some other user reported on mac ) to kind of further explain more about the parameters on screenmidi is transmited through usb c (yes, it has usb c which is cool) and a trs midi port (trs to din 5 adapter is supplied, I think is type A) , power through the midi trs is available and I can confirm it does work with widi devices (have used it with widi uhost and widi master with no issues at all)

I wrote an earlier review because I couldn't get the DOREMIDI device working....but I finally did after working at it for a hour & a half. If you're using an xKey controller and don't have a xcable this is a workaround! It took some software finagling but I figured out I had to go into each individual plug in itself (not just the Loopy Pro software) and assign the DOREMIDI as a midi controller within each plug in...then I could hook my sustain pedal to it and...VOILA!! It worked. So sorry about the quick frustrated response. I'm making up for it now!!

For my application, this little gem works perfectly! BE SURE TO FOLLOW THE SETTING EXAMPLES IN THE MANUAL!! The software isn't terrible, it does what it needs to. I set it up with Roland Ev5 expression pedal and a simple switch pedal for a leslie switch. Note that DATA 1 is your CC number. Just follow the manual and you'll be fine. Mac OS Sonama user. I'll order a second one.

I use this with virtual guitar pedal board setups within Logic Pro X, where I use it to control things like wah wah or volume whilst playing, previously I'd have to draw in the midi data after, which is never as natural.

No necesité descargar ningún software adicional. Es un muy buen producto por el precio.
