I have a Craftsman Bench Grinder. This abrasive wheel does what it says. If your knife edge is dull and has small gouges - this wheel will take you a long way to a sharp smooth edge. Just be careful not to allow it to remain on one place on your blade. Keep it moving. Heat is your enemy. It can take the temper out of a blade.Used correctly, this wheel will keep you cutting. It can be used for knives and jointer/planer blades just before final sharpening. The quality of the wheel is excellent. It is true and doesn't wobble up and down.Good tool.

This is a lower cost option convolute wheel for polishing and deburring metal. Looks, feels and works just like the expensive wheels as far as I can tell without an in depth and scientific study of some sort. Definitely an option for DIY'ers or small shops that only use them occasionally. Of course larger shops could use these but you would want to verify their long term wear yourself. Personally, I will be going with this lower cost wheel from now on as I am retired and working on my own toys so, it is an excellent wheel for my own use. Great for smoothing welds and touching up the brushed finish on stainless steel sheet metal items. Also good for either bench grinders or flex shaft grinders.
