This strainer is a little wider than the original/factory version and the exact same length. this equates into a larger straining surface area.translation= more filtering area to plug before burning up another fuel pump. Since i put this into a 20 year old Honda Accord I found beneficial to have the extra straining capacity because my tank was full of dirt and it was almost impossible to get it all cleaned out. This strainer neck has the same angle as factory and also fit into the tank perfectly; picking up fuel right off the bottom of the tank.Bottom line- it is inexpensive and it works well. Buy it!

Paid 100 to have the fuel pump put in, 2 weeks later it stopped working. I'm out 150 bucks! (Labor, filter, strainer, and pump). Not happy!

worked no problem and was very cheap. no hatch in the accord trunk so i cut a flap and it was easy- didn't drop tank--did it in the parking lot where i had left car
