This worked perfectly, no RTV or sealant needed, just make sure both surfaces are clean smooth and dry. Torqued to 25 ft.lb. and no leaks!

This fit amazing on my 2008 Ford Ranger 8.8 rear end. No leaks so far and I don't anticipate it being a problem. I would way rather use this type of gasket instead of gasket maker.
