Very easy to install (if you already have a c-clip tool). Much safer and better option for recovery than traditional "hook" style setups. Took literally 30 seconds for me to install. Comes with a certified test report from Boise Rigging Supply outlining the break/peak strength with graph. Very nice touch. It's a little "pricey" for something so simple. But, it's clear once you see it up close the engineering that went into it and the quality. Very happy with the purchase Would highly recommend the F55 rope guard in conjunction with this as it protects the exposed rope on the thimble from dust, insects, etc. as you drive down the road.

Love Factor 55 products! I’ve owned a few of the Pro Links and this was my first Flat Link. Rock solid, easy install, expensive but worth it for the quality, design and functionality.

I'm swapping this out for the Flatline with the smaller round hole. Most of my recovery gear is soft shackles and this should be easier to use and put less stress on the shackles.

Used it a few times now the last couple weeks while in Moab Utah trip. Worked flawlessly with our soft shackles and Synthetic winch line. Easy to pull, carry and hookup. Super simple to reel in and auto locks into place out of the way.

I love factor 55 as the top recovery point and products for offroad recovery. The is very strong lightweight and can be used in many ways including soft shackles in different sizes as well as d ring shackles and tow straps! Love the expert elongated hole for the versatility and rounded edges to prevent serrations of synthetic winch line. Closed system attachment point is the safest by far and Factor 55 imo is the leader in the industry.

Arrived in two weeks. I have synthetic rope and didn’t want any of the rope hanging off the front of the rig exposed to mud and abrasion so bought the Flatlink E (55-00080-06). It’s an impressive chunk of aluminum and was simple to install. Hardest task was hack-sawing the original winch hook off. I bought the Flatlink Rope Guard (55 00380) as well. It was easy to install. It snuggled up nice on the fairlead. I just received this yesterday so can’t comment on its functionality but YouTube has a ton of reviews. The thing is pricey in Canada but holding it in your hand you’ll find that it’s worth it. You can’t scrimp on quality with your recovery gear. I’ve had failures out in the bush and remember saying that I’d pay ANYTHING to get out the hole I was stuck in. I can see this winch hook won’t be the weak link!
