This is my first turntable for art and it has dramatically improved the experience. The unit glides smoothly. I am not concerned about the rusting others have experienced as I don’t use it for any type of wet media but appreciated knowing that was an issue for some before purchase.I got an aluminum one as well to use with wet stuff but I bought a used one that had been dropped which resulted in a crack. I think if this one was dropped the cast iron would break not crack if anything happened at all. Still I’m careful with it, and I love it. I love the smoothness with which it spins and I love the weight of it. The heaviness is necessary I feel to spin just right. The aluminum version is not like that.If this broke for any reason, I would be buying another one tomorrow. It’s now a staple art tool to me. Can’t live without it.

Nice heavy/sturdy banding wheel. I have another different brand where the top piece can be separated from the bottom which is handy if you want to flip something. This one is permanently attached, but its still a great item.

I purchased this banding wheel as an inexpensive alternative for student use in the classroom. For hand-building projects we typically use a well-known brand, but there are never enough to go around.I think the Falling in Arts wheel may be the inexpensive solution.It is true that the build quality does not meet the standards of other name brands, and, as other buyers have noticed, there is some wobble because the fittings are not quite tight enough.Overall though, I'm optimistic that it's good enough. Especially for hand-building projects that don't need a wheel to be absolutely wobble free.The most wear in these type of banding wheels happens when students drop them, or carelessly pick them up and set them down. We'll see how well these stand up to student use!

Love this for my clay work. I didn't want to spend a fortune on a banding wheel and this fit the bill perfectly. It's heavy weight won't tip under any circumstances I've found, it spins beautifully without a hint of a wobble, and the finish is perfect.I took it to a class last month and had several people ask how much and where I got it. They were all surprised at how reasonable the price was and most stated they were going to look it up and order one based on seeing mine.

Its heavy and sturdy, but has the slightest wobble. Also, it wants to be in a certain position, and sometimes when you turn it to make a certain part of your sculpture face you, it slowly turns back. Can be a little frustrating. It's okay, but I would spend a little more if I had it to do over.

Muy buen producto, la tapa inferior tiene un defecto, he leÃdo comentarios incluso con otros vendedores del mismo producto y parece que todos tienen el mismo problema, sin embargo, no es nada que afecte su funcionamiento. Lo compré a un buen precio, pero en pocas semanas subió mucho su costo, eso me detuvo de comprar otro. Espero que baje de precio.
