I built a bar top that had some butt joints, and as careful as I was the original bar structure was not square to start with so I had some small gaps to fill in. Initially I did several tests before hand on a sample piece using different glues and saw dust and also different fillers I bought from the big box stores. In the end I used the saw dust method, but once I put a clear satin varnish on it, it turned much darker. Note this is a non-stained bar. I was unhappy with the outcome and removed it (what a pain). Then I discovered Famowood after seeing some videos on it. It worked great - easy to apply and easy to sand. When I varnished it, it got darker just a bit and matched great with the surrounding wood. I had bought the maple and the natural to see which looked better on my maple butcher block - the natural looked better in my project. The bar is outside under a covered roof in FL. I will update the review when I see how durable it is going forward.

This is a tiny tub. It works for me, since larger cans usually dry out after a while... if you're like me and only need a tiny bit every now and then for the occasional home repair or a small to medium woodworking project, it's probably less wasteful than a full pint or a quart. Now, as for the product itself - it's neat! It's the best, most hassle-free filler I have ever tried. It obviously doesn't come close to the performance of polyester or epoxy fillers in terms of structural strength or the ability to cure in thick layers - but you also don't need to mix anything or deal with the fumes. In comparison to most of the hardware store fillers, it is a lot less chalky / crumbly and adheres much better, making it easy to fill in even the most challenging gaps. It dries pretty quickly and takes paint and stains pretty well, too.The color is very light beige; it may be a decent match for Baltic birch plywood, but not much else. Their "fir / maple" product is closer to common light-colored woods.

I used this outdoors on the railing of my east facing front deck in the spring. I had a lot of cracks in the treated wood where water was getting in and made it difficult to paint. Some of the cracks were very deep but the product went on easy and dried quickly so I was able to paint over it the same day I put it on. Easy to sand and clean up. So far (end of summer) it isn't cracking or showing signs of loosening up with all the heat, humidity, and rain. I am hoping that it will hold through the cold winter. Despite not knowing what will happen in the cold of winter, I would recommend this product.

However, I'm not sure it's for fine woodworking projects. I only used it to fill in a hole in my hardwood floor on a renovation. The hole was about the size of a quarter and maybe 1/2 an inch deep. I applied two applications per instructions regarding larger hole fills. It still cracked and needed a third layer touch-up. Clean up was easy. It accepts stain, but not very well. The color is there, but it's looks like a piece of paper under the color - you can tell it's stain over a whitish fill. Overall, I'm not worried about it because it's a kid's room and the floor will most likely take more abuse over the years, but it worked in a pinch, I just would hesitate to use it on my furniture projects.

Great filler. Good for painting not so much staining.

This product was easy to use. I was using it to fill in gouges and nail marks on a fireplace surround so I wasn’t using it for any deep spaces filled in easily where I needed it and dried pretty quickly.

This stuff is amazing! Goes on like butter! Great working time! Easy to sand and not a messy sand. This stuff goes on so smooth you barely have to sand in the end! It’s a pretty small container but it goes really far!

Very good filler. For deeper gaps just use a few layers.
