says thermostat gasket works with 2004 Explorer.But I needed typical O ring when I bought thermostat here, this didn't work, glad old O ring OK. Seems comment "not thermostat, it's a housing gasket" is problem

Seems to fit ford v6 thermostat housing to block. A little thin but wider than old original which leaked. Awaiting motorcraft part 614 for comparison. Not the thermostat oring.

This is not a thermostat gasket. It is the gasket for thermostat housing. Incorrect information on items. There are two different ones

This goes between the thermostat housing and intake manifold. You don't need this if you're just changing the thermostat.
