Used this on my two wheel drive 04 Chevy Colorado Z85. The design is identical to the OEM gasket. When replacing do not use any sealant. When tightening bolts use cross pattern. First stage just snug the bolts flush. Second torque bolts to 10 ft lbs. Third and final Torque to 20 ft lbs. Your done. Refill differential mine used 2 quarts, my preference is Valvoline 75/90 synthetic. TIP: Make sure you can remove your drain plug before starting I have read things about the plugs not breaking free in rust belt states. You can refill through the vent on top but that is a pita.

Exactly what I needed when I was replacing my 2005 GMC Canyon's rear differential gasket. Would recommend when you take off the old gasket you note how it was installed, and install this gasket in the same orientation (note the little tab). Also, make sure to clean the mating surfaces to provide a good seal. I used a 13mm socket at 30ft/lbs to tighten the bolts in a cross-pattern.
