Finally got around to putting this on my car. Fit my vibe with a 1zzfe. Old one was brittle and leaking bad. This one fit perfectly, easy to install. If you’re a DIYer or looking to save some money this is a simple install. Plenty of YT videos out there. Car has 250k miles on it so it was time. Make sure your RTV where the timing cover meets the head.

Just installed this over the weekend, and it was pretty straight forwards as expected. I've driven about 400 miles since installing it, and I haven't noticed any leaks in the valve cover. All seems well. The only small thing about this gasket is that it didn't quite fit. So I had to use some rtv to hold it into the grove on the valve cover gasket. A VERY thin bead is all it needed, and it sealed right up for the install. Great product, and I've always loved fel-pro products. I'm installing an intake manifold gasket, an exhaust manifold gasket, and an oil pan gasket from them this weekend!

The valve cover gasket fits perfectly and is easy to replace. The grommets were of minimal value as the stock grommets are integral with the retaining washer. Order the assembled grommets/washers separately or plan to waste more time digging out the worn grommets, which are adhered to the washers, then the entire rest of the job including cleaning the valve cover.

This high-quality valve cover gasket for my 2008 Toyota Matrix worked well. Although not an OEM part, the fit was perfect; the material well manufactured. Best of all was the value for the money without the extreme mark-up for OEMs.

Autozone and o'riellys charge $31.99 for the same gasket. This is now my second time doing my valve cover gasket which lasted me 3 years. You can't go wrong with FEL-PRO.

Don't forget gasket glue for spots where the head has a possible small gap from the manufacturing process. I also think I overtightened the center bolt washers.

When I was checking for the appropriate gasket, my nephew advised to stick with Felpro as his experience with the cheaper gaskets fall apart well before they should. The Felpro main gasket is made in USA, although the 2 included cover bolt grommets are made in China. (This info is stamped on the packaging).Anyways, perfect fit after clean up. Don't forget to put a dab of gasket maker at both of the sides of the timing chain cover.I'm changing this at 285K, although definitely I know the gaskets been leaking since at least 225k.

worked well on a toyota matrix (2003-2007), worked well with the 1zz motor. it's also blue, so you can really see if you did a good job or not, unlike the picture showing black
