I actually wound up returning this product. BUT. IT. SCREAMED!I returned it because it isn't F-Spaced and I was misled by Sweetwater that it was F-Spaced. I thought it made sense that it was F-Spaced because they made this pick up to NOT be tilted like the Frankenstrat pickup was famously tilted to lineup with the strings coming out of a Floyd Rose. I installed briefly in my HSS Fender Strat with a 75th Anniversary Maple neck with Gold Hipshot locking tuners. It performed amazingly well but IT WAS DRIVING ME CRAZY that the pickup wasn't F-Spaced!!! It had me convinced that the sustain was being affected by the spacing and even if that isn't true it doesn't matter because I would be thinking about it the moment I woke up in the morning.I wound up returning it because of this defect and and installed an F-Spaced Dimarzio Tone Zone instead. This is the pickup I have been very happy and satisfied with for 15 years. It has INCREDIBLE bass response, RICH HARMONICS, singing full highs, excellent articulation, the characteristicly unique scooped "ah vowel" sounding mids. It responds very well to pick attack as well which is vital to tonal expression.The Tone Zone is likely available from this seller. But keep in mind the EVH pickup has a great "hot humbucker" tone, but it is usually directly mounted into a guitar with a treble bleed circuit plugged into a high end amp. The Tone Zone sounds good in any guitar, out of any amp!

Coming from seymour duncan jb, this pickup is super clear even when distorted. I always felt chords never had very much note clarity with the jb. But The wolfgang is everything ive ever wanted from a pickup.... Overpriced because of that EVH name. But at the end of the day it was exactly what i was looking for

This pickup was installed in a Gibson SG 61 reissue. It totally transformed this guitar into a great instrument. The clarity and bite that this pickup has is incredible. The tone still remains full and there are great harmonics. I can't imagine a better bridge pickup for my SG and likely many other guitars as well. The tone is very much like EVH with David Lee Roth but also surprisingly Angus Young, if you have heard him live or on the "Live at Donington" DVD. It is rock guitar tone at its finest. I upgraded the standard pots and capacitors with 500k CTS pots, tone and volume, and Orange Drop .022µF capacitors. I have swapped out many pickups over the years in multiple guitars and have not been this satisfied with the results. This was a home run.

I recently bought an EVH Wolfgang guitar. Prior to that I was building another guitar and I installed an EVH Frankenstein in it. It was good, but when I got the Wolfgang guitar the pickups blew my mind so I tore the Frankenstein out of my build and put the Wolfgang in there and I am one happy camper! Why is the Wolfgang so great? The ability to switch from clean to heavily distorted tones with both of them sounding great is like magic! It is not the hottest pickup but it is the toniest.

I put this pickup in the bridge position on my Les Paul Axcess and wow what a difference. Great articulation as no matter the setting on my amp I can hear all the notes ring with a lot of sustain for leads and plenty of chuck for the rhythm. Best pickup I've heard since the JB from Seymour. It compares closely to the Seymour JB in output and sustain but has better clarity. This pickup is great for rock, pop, country, jazz, and blues. Most rock and modern country players will love this pickup.

Sounds great through my EVH5150III, Hot Channel. I also use it with my Roland JC40 Clean sound. I put it in the 2nd position split the coil and it still keeps a really nice twang.

Great sounding pickup however it will not fit a Peavey Wolfgang body without some modification
