This is an official Fender part so it's a perfect fit on MIA (U.S.built) Standard or MIM (Mexican factory) manufactured after 2004. Fit my MIM standard Jazz without a problem. I did not have to loosen the control plate it lined up perfectly over the factory screw holes and I tightened them down. This pick guard does have the small cut out for the truss rod at the bottom of the neck joint which is needed on the MIA satandard . The MIM models don't need this so you have a little bit of body wood showing through. It's hardly noticeable and doesn't detract from the look at all. This pick guard will not fit the Deluxe models.

The pickguard has good quality (original fender), and the color is very neat. I put on my old Squier JB that im customizing, and the only problem I had was the size: I guess the Original Fender JB has some very small proportion differences, so when I was installing in my squier, the neck part of the pickguard was not fitting, but I just polished a little bit, and then fits perfect.Good product

Fits my new mim player jazz bass perfectly. It seems to be for a made in America jazz bass. I say this because of the provisions for truss rod adjustment are on the pick guard and my Made in Mexico jazz bass has the truss rod adjustment just behind the nut. But it still fits perfectly

It had some mild scratches, but was fine. Didn't fit around the pickup very well so I did some mild trimming and shaving. I was replacing a white one and the black on a white bass looks real nice.

Perfect fit for my 2011 Fender Jazz Bass (mim) and gives it a much better look than the previous owners choice imo. I purchased this from Amazon and the order was fulfilled by Rich Tone Music. I also purchased the necessary screws as the original ones were a bit chewed. It is important to use the correct size of screwdriver when attaching the scratch plate. In this case a Phillips No1 - not a pozi-drive screwdriver. This will damage the head. Delivery was as promised and came well packed and on time.It has the cutout for the American Jazz truss rod access but as this was going black on black it is not particularly noticable. It may be an issue if you are fitting to a white body.
