This product is outstanding as a leak proof element. It was easy to apply. It can be cut and manipulated to fit your needs. After it cures, it holds it own. Can be painted easily too!

It was a chore and a half to wrap the pipe under the bathroom sink, and I should have used my own latex gloves--the ones included were too big--but it's been over three weeks and everything's fine. I hope I never live through another highly contagious epidemic, but if I do, at least I'll be able to fix my own pipes.

I admit I did not have very much room to wrap a 6 inch cast iron sewer pipe. The mixture on the wrap is extremely sticky, which is not a bad thing, but it tore the thin rubber gloves to shreds, then the epoxy glue is now on your hands. It was extremely time consuming for my difficult installation situation. The product started getting hard before I could use the entire length of fiberglass. The positive aspect is that the wrap dried into an extremely hard shell. This is not a pressure pipe, but a cast iron sewer pipe starting to develope pin hole leaks. So all in all, I was able to wrap the entire length of this cast iron elbow, and there is no way for sewer water to leak through this very tough fiberglass repair. Please be sure you have good clearances between the pipe needing repairs, and adjacent pipes, walls, etc. or you will not be happy.

Not a truly fair evaluation... It was easy to install... It worked as promised... Preparation is the key... Don't let someone else do it for you.....

Ok, so I bought this for several "pinhole" leaks in a mobile home after their heat tape failed during this recent weirdly cold, warm, freezing, warm etc... winter. I had copper pipe, solder, thinning flux, map pro gas, connectors and more on hand. Problem was I had very little space and these pipes are from 1973. I actually went into my local menards and started really looking into fixes that may make this easier and less of a fire risk. Now, I have a fireproof mat and that wasn't the problem. The problem was the very dry, particle board, and other woods that in mobile homes could ignite even later when you think it's cool. So I tried shark bites... big mistake. If your pipes are even slightly ovaled it will not take and spray everywhere. I tried an epoxy you mix by hand and paint it over after sanding the pipe and putting on a sort of flux as well... as soon as the water was on it seemed good, but I noticed that it began to stretch after 2 days drying and it was a paper thin coat. I knew it would burst so I once again took it off. Cleaned everything well and made sure no oxidation could occur due to these methods. Now i had enough, so I went back and talked to another local that does mobile home repairs often. He literally said follow me and took me to Pow-R wrap. He grabbed me 8 packs and said I'll never regret using it. He explained how you apply it and even made some suggestions that were the real success story. He said, first have a bucket or small container of water to drop your wrap in and squeeze it like they do when fitting a cast for your arm at the hospital. Then, make a flat but about 3/4th inch rectangle after mixing the epoxy with your fingers. Also told me to wear a pair of latex free gloves over the latex ones they provide. Then make a donut around the hole and not to worry if it was wet as you will "kung fu grip" around the pipe to make a solid shape around the pipe with the epoxy. As soon as you do grab the wrap (yes it's very sticky and you DO NOT want it on your hands, but if you do acetone works great with a scrub pad and have a rag or old t-shirt to wipe it on). Now toss the wrap over the top and let it stick to itself on the roll wrapped around the pipe. Fold it over the same direction 2-3 times and yank it until you see it start turning together. Now wrap the hole a total of 8 or so times and make sure you go outside the hole area expanding the coverage early on both sides all the while pulling it tight like before every couple times around. Grasp it when done and while turning your hand over it in the same direction you wrapped it. Imagine smoothing clay around it and work from the middle to the outside edges. Now yes it does take around 10-15 min to get to the point that it stops unwrapping itself if you dont soak it and wrap it properly so make super sure you pay attention. After it brings holding your done. I did the 6th section in under 25 min before holding it and realized if you wrap it 8+ times pulling it as he said it begins sticking in around 5 min and I walked away. I left the water off for 3 hours the first time but it was also 25 degrees outside. In 45 degree weather I did 3 more and I had it off about 2 hours. The last couple I did at 60 degrees and windy as heck and I left the water off 1 hour and all of these are holding and are "hard as steel". If you EVER have this issue with water pipes (for sure water pipes, but if it can handle this pressure it can pretty much handle it all) please trust this product. I have never thought of using these products but man, the time saved, the money saved and the risk reduction was well worth it and they were so happy to have it done with such short trips after successfully finding a solution.

I had a leak at the joint of a 6" PVC exhaust pipe for my gas furnace. I tried 2 or 3 different things and the leak always came back. I have to say this product seems to have put a tight casing around the area where I wrapped and it looks like it is going to hold. Only time will tell. You definitely need a little space to work and it is extremely messy. As you work the wrap it gets stickier and stickier and the finger ends get stuck to the tape so it gets quite messy.

Ive been having a problem with a rat chewing through the water lines that go to the bathtub an sink. I jimmy rigged the first time with a clamp an some rubber hose. Anyways, came home from working nights an ready to go to bed. The rat had struck again under my sink🤨, there is no hardware store in my little town but there is a sporting good store an i looked around an seen this an was skeptical cause never heard of this or seen anywhere before. It was a half inch hot water line that he chewed through. So i bought some pipe cleaner, which it dont say u need, just figured it wouldnt hurt. I cleaned it, an tried to make it where i had room to work. Thats the hardest thing about this product, you need room to wrap the pipe several times so u need a lul bit of room obviously. I followed directions, an it worked. Locked up like the tires on a semi before he rams into a school bus full of kids. 🥴🤪 it works, its a lil messy, but a whole lot easier than refitting pipe an stuff. Im gonna take that other one i had put the clamp on an use this product on it cause i feel it will last for a long time. Anyways, if your wondering i did get some rat bar bait poison. Im gonna get his azz. Lil homey been drivin me insane. Anyways i hope it works for you.
