Your Filtrete Filter will also capture large particles, including lint, pollen and household dust. This filter is also CERTIFIED asthma and allergy-friendly (2). Use a 3-month pleated 1-inch home HVAC filter in your furnace, air conditioner or HVAC system. I think that Filtrete makes the best filters. These filter out the tiniest particles, and they are decent air filters. I'm not sure if it's better to have higher MERV filters to get tiny particles, at the expense of making the HVAC work harder and move less air, or filters with lower MERV numbers that get most large particles but allow more air flow.

This is not a standard size filter. This size isn't carried at the big box stores so finding them readily available on Amazon and ordering them makes for a no brainer purchase.I've used Filtrate brand HVAC filters for a long time feeling and like that they have different filters at different price points with corresponding MERV ratings.This one was slightly larger than the Filtrete filter it replaced so I had to compress one edge and forcibly push it into place, thus only a 4-star rating. First time I've had to do that with Filtrete filters.We use our furnace more in the winter months so the filters need changing more frequently. We notice the difference in air quality in our house after changing the filter.

I buy these every single year for my AC unit. Mine is very very old so I have to change them often. For people with newer AC then they will last a long long time. Very good filters.

moved to sn apt and maintenance man used those cheap ones. I purchased these by next day my apt smelled so much better. Highly recommend using merv rating of 12 and above for clean smelling environment

This size filter is hard to find in big box stores. Glad that it's available online. Size is16x30x1 Fits well, seems to be working good so far
