I live in an older home and the dust is unusually prevalent. I have been hard pressed to find an air filter that makes much of a difference. Until now. This filter works excellently and really holds on to the things in the air that bother me and my allergies. I'm very impressed. They arrived well packaged and are incredibly easy to install.

I think Filtrete filters are the best. These are very fine filters that get almost any particle you can imagine. After three months, when I remove the filter, it is grey, indicating all the particles it filtered out during that quarter.

We live in a really old house and have 3 long haired pets. We actually swap filters every 3 weeks to keep up with the dust & allergens. Our HVAC seems to work better using these filters over the basic ones from the grocery store. I have a constant supply of these on hand. We recently had a dog get skunked and ended up swapping a filter early to help with the smell inside. After 3 days you couldn't tell there was a skunky dog in the house.

These filters are an easy auto-ship staple. Fits perfectly in our air intake, and helps the air quality in our home. We have a small baby, so dust and allergens are important for us to keep at a minimum. We live in a desert, and have noticeably less dust in the house when we replace these filters regularly. Haven’t noticed a change in our energy bill, so would say they’re quite efficient.

Pro tip: if installing in the roof then air flow arrow points up to the roof.Why I love it? Great quality, fits perfectly, replacing our generic Merv 8. The upgrade to Merv 12 + quality will have you notice the difference if you have folks with allergies around. Great one from 3M
